The only time I seem to get nervous on wedding mornings is when we haven’t met our couple yet. It kind of feels like the first day of school all over again- Will they like me? What if we don’t get along? What if I say something stupid? What if I can’t think of anything to say? It’s very similar to the feeling I get before every meeting we have. Anyway, somewhere between pulling up to this cute sign at Morgan’s Mom’s home and getting the biggest hug of my life from the bride, I was feeling sooooo much better about the day. :)
Not only was Morgan’s dress gorgeous, but she also had a name- Shelly! Why doesn’t everyone name their wedding gown?! I was eating it up… “I’m gonna drag Shelly away for some photos real quick.” “Shelly is gooooorgeous!” “Can you play with Shelly’s skirt for a few photos?” You get the picture. ;)
This was kinda the start of the ring bearer’s emotional breakdown. Poor kid- He was so stressed out. :(
I LOVE HAPPY BRIDES!!!!
I always call the getting ready time the “it takes a village” moment of the day. No photo demonstrates why better than this! :)
Since we didn’t know the area at all, Morgan helped decide where to do her bridal photos beforehand. When she took us to this street that was lined with banyan trees, I knew we were on the same page. :)
Morgan’s sister gave her a letter from Jason, which got everyone all teary. :)
One of my all-time favorite bridal portraits!
So, back to the ring bearer… It was soon his turn to take a photo with the bride, but he wanted nothing to do with it. The next series consisted of Morgan doing everything in her power to make him laugh, and finally succeeded- But look closely at the 4th photo, particularly his nose!! FAVORITE.
I loooooved this wedding idea! We’ve seen in the past couples offer flip flops to their guests when having a beach wedding, but I fell in love with Morgan’s washing/drying station for their guests to clean their feet. It was such a hit, and their guests were able to make it to the reception without that grainy-wet-sand-feet feeling!! :)
Morgan was just a tad bit excited…
… And so was Jason! Their wedding and reception were held on the beach at the Boca Grande Club.
