Anna + Kyle | Classic Disney Wedding

September 20, 2025 by Jensey Leave a Comment

Often on the blog I try to sum up something unique I learned about our couple. Sometimes there’s just no way to do that, so I’m copying this one directly from Anna’s first email to us, but it’s a good one. Enjoy their engagement story and buckle up!!

“We were on a trip to Olympic National Park in Washington State for Kyle‘s birthday in late April of 24. The weather was so gloomy and cloudy the whole weekend so Kyle carried the ring hiking for 3 days just hoping for a sunny moment with a view of Mt. Olympus to propose in front of. On the last night of our trip Kyle was in excruciating pain due to his gall bladder being inflamed (we knew about this previously and he had surgery scheduled back at home to have it removed the pain usually only lasted an hour or so before it passed) the next morning through the pain we went for one last walk on the beach we were staying on and he popped the question since we were headed back to FL that afternoon – it wasn’t what he envisioned but it was PERFECT!  After the celebration and an attempt to eat breakfast we ended up going to the hospital because Kyle was in so much pain…. a few hours later he was in emergency gallbladder removal surgery. We ended up stuck in Port Angeles, WA for a week for him to be safe to fly home…. and the sun finally came out so we drove back up Hurricane Ridge to view Mt. Olympus and he proposed again minus a gallbladder. It was quite the story but we wouldn’t have it any other way – in sickness and health right?!”

Needlepoint has become my anxiety relief the past few years, and I’m so happy to live 30 minutes from Novella Needlepoint. Imagine my joy when I saw the sweet picture frame Anna’s mom stitched for her, and that it came from Novella! :)

One of my all-time favorite getting ready rooms.

Sweet first look with Dad.

A moment for Anna and Kyle’s wedding florals, please.

I’ve never been so excited to race home and show my Indiana-Jones-loving son a photo!!

Oh Anna and Kyle, we can’t thank y’all enough for having us. We’re ready for the vow renewal when y’all are!!

During a family trip to Disney when Janelle was young, she and her father happened to wander into an unlocked Wedding Pavilion. Janelle knew immediately that she wanted to be married there someday…

… and years later, *we* had the honor of watching that dream come true!

Janelle got ready at the Grand Floridian, where her butterflies were contagious! <3

Why hello! :)

First look with her dad, in the aisle of an empty Wedding Pavilion, where this whole dream began. <3

And finally the moment I was waiting for… Meeting SHREDDER!

Why yes, he *did* have cufflinks to match Dad!!

Inside each wedding program was a photo of Janelle as a kid in the Pavilion. <3

Check out part two here! :)
