The B Family : Orlando Newborn Family Session

I remember newborn Ollie life like it was yesterday.

The sleepless nights. My little chest space heater during long days on the sofa. Trying to cement in my memory how tiny his hands are. Smelling him as much as humanly possible.

The funny thing about newborn family life is you kind of slip into a family coma. Days blur together and you’re a puddle of emotions and you eat when you can’t remember when you last ate and your life consists of a pendulum constantly swinging from we’ve-totally-got-this-we’re-the-best-parents-in-the-world to ok-seriously-wtf-am-I-doing?!

Taylor is going through becoming a first time mom while self isolating, which I honestly think is the perfect time to become locked in and cozy with the new love of your life. <3

Taylor and Jeff, our hearts are so full for you. I can’t wait to meet the luckiest boy in the world… Welcome to the Root Lifers club, sir! :)

The L Family : Orlando Lifestyle Newborn Session Photographer

Oh, these faces. <3

We’ve now photographed Jess and Bligh’s engagement session, wedding day, maternity session, and now newborn session!!! This was one I’ll really, truly, honestly never forget because we were on baby watch for Oliver Hobbes!!! (I know, I should probably get around to blogging about our newest family member soon, but for now, I have too big of a photography backlog!) Throughout their whole session, I was nervously texting back and forth with our birth mother and waiting for THE call, which ended up coming just two days later!!

It was so surreal meeting baby Beckett for a few reasons : 1- Anytime our couples let us photograph this huge milestone, my heart grows three sizes. 2- I found myself praying during our shoot that our adoption works out so our babies would only be a week apart and could be besties and I could always tell Beckett that I was a ball of nerves waiting for Ollie when we first met! :) 3- THAT HAIR. YOU GUYS, THAT HAIR. <3 <3 <3

We did their shoot in my favorite place to do newborn sessions- Home. <3

I’m convinced that Beckett isn’t just Bligh’s child, but his actual clone! :)

Bryan : Winter Garden Newborn Session Photographer

Allyson and Jeff are first-time parents to the sweetest baby boy, Mr. Bryan. <3

We were so happy they welcomed us into their home for this special time! Bryan was such a good sport and I was beyond smitten with his nursery. It was like being in an RH Baby and Child catalog! <3

We’ve been preparing our home for someday baby Root for what feels like an eternity now and it was so fun seeing things I’ve been wanting for the baby being used. I felt like Ally and my browser histories must be verrrrry similar! :)
