Lauren + Rob : Grand Floridian Ceremony and Epcot Reception

September 9, 2023 by Jensey Leave a Comment

I LOVE the story behind Lauren and Rob’s proposal:

Before I even met Rob, my family’s favorite part of going to Disney World was walking from our favorite resort, Boardwalk, into Epcot and watching the fireworks show, Illuminations, from Italy. I remember standing on that bridge on a family trip in October 2016 thinking to myself that I couldn’t wait to one day share this spot with that special person. Little did I know, that in less than a year I’d be back there with that person and it immediately became a special spot for us too.

Then Disney announced that Illuminations was going away and devastated, we planned a trip in June 2019 so we could watch it a few more times before it went away. On the second night of our trip, we “bumped into” two friends of ours in Epcot. When we got to Italy, Rob said he was going to the bathroom (but really was getting the ring from my dad in the American pavilion) and came back and said I should do a boomerang of me twirling in my dress on the bridge. We did this a few times and then on the last time, I twirled around and he was down on one knee and proposed.
Then I was surprised by my parents, Rob’s sister and college roommate, and the two friends we bumped into who were in on it all along to be our photographer and videographer. We all had drinks in France, came back to Italy for the fireworks, and then walked to the Boardwalk for dinner. It was truly the best night ever!
Huge thanks to this amazing team for making it one we won’t forget!! <3

Kami + AJ : Myers Point Barn and Bluff Wedding in Sewanee, TN

June 7, 2023 by Jensey 1 Comment

I’ll never be able to put into words what an honor it is photographing someone in “the industry.”

Anytime a makeup artist or planner mentions they hope we photograph their wedding someday, my gut response is always, “Are you sure?!?” This was the case with Kami, one of our Disney wedding planner friends. While we aren’t Disney cast members, the team at Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons most certainly makes us feel like one of their own!

When Kami first booked her wedding date, it was our farthest-out booking and felt like it would never get here. Being from Tennessee myself, I couldn’t wait to photograph this charming little town; I’ve only driven through and had no idea what views were in store. <3

We *loved* working with DeDe, the planner’s planner! There can be a lot of pressure being the planner for a wedding planner bride, but DeDe was grace under pressure when it came to making a rain backup call and the whole day was just *so* easy. Well… besides that brief time after the ceremony (as we were trying to rush to newlywed portraits), when our car got stuck in the mud! It took Nate, the videographer, father of the bride, and 3 incredibly kind women in their nicest dresses bringing gravel to put behind our tires to finally get un-stuck!

Always a story, I tell you! And now, here’s Kami and AJ’s!!

I was heartbroken about the rain, but lucky for us, we were able to take incredible portraits in these covered pathways around The University of the South. <3

Adriana and Blake spent four years together leading up to this day and we were thrilled to be a small part of the most lovely vendor team! :)
