Betsy + Victor | Wedding Pavilion + Living Seas Salon

Betsy and Victor first met back in 2003 through a mutual friend. Even though they both liked each other, the timing just wasn’t right. For years, they’d see each other every now and then through their mutual friend. It wasn’t until years later when Victor was planning a Disney Cruise and their friend got them back in touch with each other. Two cruises just as friends later, they realized how easy it was to be around each other. In 2023, twenty years after they first met, Betsy and Victor finally started dating. ✨
When it came time to propose, Victor literally spent months designing the perfect ring and proposed on their verandah the first night of a Disney Cruise. Everything was so thought out, down to the ring box being Pascal from Tangled.

A story straight out of Hallmark Christmas movie! Taken straight from their wedding website, because I couldn’t tell their story better myself.

Picture this: It’s the height of Covid, summer of 2020, and the world-shattering pandemic brings two young, available people to Knoxville Tennessee. Who is she?  A young attorney, returning to her hometown from the big city and hot shot job at a major law firm. Him? A humble farm boy, at the start of a career in ministry (King David vibes, anybody?). Meeting while volunteering in their church’s student ministry was the first step in what would ultimately be a beautiful journey of falling in love and deciding to spend the rest of their lives on mission together.

Kayla + Idit | Villa Festa Wedding in Deland, FL

One of our favorite things about this job is that no matter how many weddings we photograph, there are still gems we haven’t discovered yet! Villa Festa in Deland was such a gem. Tucked away in Deland, this venue is perfect if you have a smaller guest list, an iffinity for huge moss trees, and like the feel of getting married in a cozy venue. Think cats on outdoor fountains, creeky doors, and textures galore.

Kayla and Idit fit this venue to a T! We loved getting to know these two and their sweet families. :)

My favorite part of this wedding? They had the best wedding favor idea I’ve seen!!!! Kayla and Idit are avid readers who love cuddling up with a good book. Kayla and her mother searched 2nd hand stores for months finding quirky coffee mugs that fit their personalities. Each guest took home a mug of their choosing and a bookmark with one of their favorite quotes. :)
