Colt : Downtown Winter Garden Family Session

Friends, meet Colt; the little bug here squinching his face and making this one of Nate’s favorite family portraits! :)

Colt’s sweet momma found us on Instagram(!!!!). She reached out to us after being in need of some official family portraits and her wedding photographer left Florida. I never wish that for someone, knowing how dear our couples are to me, but I’m secretly so happy to have them as part of the Root Photography family now! :)

We met up in our favorite portrait location, downtown Winter Garden, for some play time!

Erin + Brendan : Anniversary Session at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

It was a long shot, Erin thought. She and Brendan planned their 5 year anniversary trip to the beautiful Banff, Canada. Still, she reached out to see what the chances were of us doing an anniversary session with them during their trip.

Oh, and Brendan didn’t know- Our shoot would be Erin’s gift to him!

Well, wouldn’t you know, the stars aligned and we were already planning to be in nearby Seattle days before their visit, so we were actually able to make it happen. :)

Erin and Brendan got to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise after a long day of traveling, and we thought it would be best to get the surprise part out early so we didn’t have to worry about bumping into them around the hotel. Erin texted us every chance she could, telling Brendan that she was writing her parents. They grabbed a table for a late dinner, we headed down, and we will never, ever, ever, ever forget Brendan’s reaction when we showed up!!

The next morning was our session, and I’m so, so, so in love with these photos and this couple. Happy five, friends! <3

I thought July seemed like a good time to post these while it’s miserably hot outside!!

Madeline + Eloise : Downtown Winter Garden Family Portrait Session

Alex and Josh were married one of the first years we started Root Photography, and it was so fun to catch up with them! Turns out a lot can happen in ~8 years, and we loved meeting their silly daughters!! Nate and I both agree that this was a favorite-ever shoot for us, so hopefully you agree! <2

Sometimes you just have to follow the talent’s lead!

Four things: 1- That smirk and lollipop kill me!!. 2- Can we just talk about how precious these OshKosh overall dresses are?! 3- If Madeline were my daughter, every wall of our home would be painted this color to bring out those eyyyyyyes! <3
