Madeline + Eloise : Downtown Winter Garden Family Portrait Session

Alex and Josh were married one of the first years we started Root Photography, and it was so fun to catch up with them! Turns out a lot can happen in ~8 years, and we loved meeting their silly daughters!! Nate and I both agree that this was a favorite-ever shoot for us, so hopefully you agree! <2

Sometimes you just have to follow the talent’s lead!

Four things: 1- That smirk and lollipop kill me!!. 2- Can we just talk about how precious these OshKosh overall dresses are?! 3- If Madeline were my daughter, every wall of our home would be painted this color to bring out those eyyyyyyes! <3

Alex is the sweetest momma, and I loved seeing how much those girls adore her. <3

Dylan : Winter Garden Family Session

You may remember Taylor and Michael from their Green Turtle Cay wedding in the Bahamas (you can read about that here and here! Oh, and here, too!)

It feels like just yesterday we were meeting Miss Dylan for the first time, but now she’s a little lady. These three came to see us in downtown Winter Garden for some updated family photos, and I think my abs are still sore from laughing so hard!!

Dylan was a liiiiittle unsure about us at first, hiding under a table…

… And behind Mom!

But a few jumps, noises, and giggles later…

… And we were buddies! :)

THIS ONE. Nate, you are my favorite photographer. Ever. Also, we need a photography studio now if just to get this on canvas!

Meghan + Dave : Providence Biltmore Wedding

These two. <3

Admittedly, all I knew about Providence was that it was the setting for a favorite show of mine and my Mom’s when I was young, appropriately titled “Providence.” Well, I can officially say I love that little city, and the 60º weather was such a lovely break from the 90’s we were pushing in Orlando!

Meghan was the maid of honor at a Disney wedding we photographed a few years back. Thanks to the magic of social media, we stayed in touch with these two after the wedding. We were so excited when they got engaged, and even more-so when they asked us to come to Rhode Island for their wedding! :)

If you’ve received a holiday card from us the last two years, you’re already familiar with Dave’s talent and didn’t even know it!

Meghan and Dave looooove Dungeons and Dragons, and I looooved playing with the awesome dice for their ring photos!!

This was the fortune from a cookie a few months ago that they thought might come in handy for the wedding day. <3

Meghan’s dress in the back and two gifts from bridesmaids in front: One is a wine bottle with Meghan’s name engraved, and the other is a commissioned art piece by the crazy talented Ashley Taylor!

Meghan’s “something old” was so sweet- A hidden heart made from material from bridesmaids dresses she’s worn!

You may remember Liz from her and Bryan’s recent anniversary session in Disneyland! <3

Can you sense a mermaid theme with Meghan’s ensemble? From the dress that reminded her of Ariel’s pink dress when she had dinner with Eric to her scale polished ring fingers to her awesome Ariel-red hair, I loved all the nods to Meghan’s favorite princess. :)
