Marsha + Judy : Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club and Lodge Wedding

June 9, 2019 by Jensey 15 Comments

“A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.” ― L. Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

That quote kicked off Marsha and Judy’s wedding ceremony, and I can think of no more fitting description for these two incredible women.

They’ve been together for almost 20 years- first meeting online, becoming close over messages, then their first date at Steak and Shake. They’re the two incredible aunts of my best friend, Veronica, and my newest acquired family members as I slowly carve out a permanent spot in her family. :) When I started asking Veronica questions about how they met, she responded with, “I don’t actually know- They’ve just always been ‘Marsha and Judy’ as long as I can remember.” I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a couple more beloved- When they opened up the mic for toasts during the reception, it was practically standing room only of people sharing their memories, love, and gratitude for these two, each sentiment more touching than the last.

In the 13 years we’ve photographed weddings, this was my all-time favorite ceremony. Veronica’s dad officiated, her mother sang, and every quote, sentiment, vow, and laugh was so perfectly tailored to them and the life they’ve built together.

Nate said it best on our drive home. “We’ve only known them a short time, but our lives are already richer because of them.”

Marsha and Judy, we love you to the moon, and we hope you love your wedding preview. Thank you for the greatest honor of letting us be your photographers!! :)

I have never, ever seen a more joyful start to a wedding ceremony than watching Marsha literally giggle and dance her way down the aisle and both of them greeting their guests with big hugs and kisses!!

Favorite. <3

Trying to steal a kiss after Judy said her vows! :)

Breaking the glass! Mazel tov! <3

MARRIED! <3

Their ceremony was at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge, and this little courtyard was my faaaaavorite! :)

Ollie’s two favorite people and most requested friends- “Ronna and Deg!” <3 <3

How happy is this cake set up?! Made by my our favorite cake maker- Nini Dink Designs Custom Cakes!

And now for some favorite photos from their morning after brunch! Orange juice cheers with Ollie! :)

My newest Mama! <3

“Tut Tut” and Ollie! <3

Marsha and Judy- My *only* complaint about your wedding is that we never got a photo together! Let’s fix that asap. We love y’all!!!! :)

2018 San Francisco Trip!

March 10, 2019 by Jensey 1 Comment

It’s our birthweek!!! What!!! Nate and I were born one year and 5 days apart, so we look forward to “birthweek” celebration all year round! :)

I wanted to blog something fun this week, so I thought I’d write about our favorite vacation last year!

Before Ollie, I was *determined* to do a monthly personal post about him and what we’ve been up to and well… We are 22 months into parenthood and I don’t even think I blogged about his birth. Instead of starting from the beginning and trying to somehow catch up, I’m just gonna jump right in. :) Last August, work brought us to San Francisco! This also meant we got to do a road trip with Ollie’s bestie from there to Disneyland for his first friend vacation! :)

This was Ollie’s 2nd trip out to California, and boy, flying with a 15 month old couldn’t have been more different than flying with a 4 month old!! I told Nate that for the rest of my life, any flight without a squirmy toddler will forever feel like I’m flying first class, lol! :) He really did well and only lost it a couple of times, but was I glad we were road tripping down to Anaheim and not having to make another flight!

We started our trip at my personal Disneyland, my favorite place in the world- My Aunt Cami’s home. <3 I think, no.. I *know* he loved it there more than Disneyland!

We had lunch with my godmother! :)

We also took Ollie to my mom’s childhood home. So many memories playing on this street! <3

He met some new sea lion friends…

And saw an invisible bridge! <3

My cousins are incredibly talented photographers (If you got our holiday card, you know this!) Even just sitting across from them at dinner meant we got really good photos of Ollie! :) He loved them as much as we did and agrees that California is just too far away- We should start a petition to move Florida.

One thing I never fully internalized before becoming a mom: When people love on your kids, that love feels tenfold to you. Ollie took to these guys right away, and I just love how much they loved on him!! :)

I’m gonna do a whole separate post on the photos they took of us and what they meant to me!

We said goodbye to northern California and drove here to meet up with our friends! Ollie was so surprised to see his bestie! <3

Stopped to see some freaky elephant seals on the way down!

See that nose?!

Tried taking a cute photo of these two but Ollie was not having it!!

We stopped again at Solvang, California, this adorable little Danish town!

We “booped” each other’s noses! :)

And obviously, we stopped at In-N-Out! But let’s just remember what he looked like last time we were here:

Alice : Celebration Hospital Newborn Family Photos

March 3, 2019 by Jensey Leave a Comment

Her name is Alice. <3

If you’d have told me two years ago at Veronica and Greg’s wedding that I’d not only be going to the hospital to meet their newborn daughter on her birthday, but taking care of her big sister for the weekend, well… I would have been thrilled. :) And confused because seriously, two babies in under two years is some serious productivity, y’all!

But there are a million reasons why I love this job and Alice and her sister Scarlett and their parents starting as our clients and turning into our closest friends is maybe at the top.

Welcome to the world, my sweet niece! I cannot wait to make you sick of my camera! <3

Scarlett meeting her baby sister for the first time! :)

F A V O R I T E .

Can we please talk about how bright eyed and bushy tailed this whole crew looks?!

Ignore the blank stare on my son’s face- He was thrilled! And officially loves hospital rooms, lol.

See? So much fun!

We love you, baby girl! :)
