Marsha + Judy : Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club and Lodge Wedding

June 9, 2019 by Jensey 15 Comments

“A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.” ― L. Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

That quote kicked off Marsha and Judy’s wedding ceremony, and I can think of no more fitting description for these two incredible women.

They’ve been together for almost 20 years- first meeting online, becoming close over messages, then their first date at Steak and Shake. They’re the two incredible aunts of my best friend, Veronica, and my newest acquired family members as I slowly carve out a permanent spot in her family. :) When I started asking Veronica questions about how they met, she responded with, “I don’t actually know- They’ve just always been ‘Marsha and Judy’ as long as I can remember.” I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a couple more beloved- When they opened up the mic for toasts during the reception, it was practically standing room only of people sharing their memories, love, and gratitude for these two, each sentiment more touching than the last.

In the 13 years we’ve photographed weddings, this was my all-time favorite ceremony. Veronica’s dad officiated, her mother sang, and every quote, sentiment, vow, and laugh was so perfectly tailored to them and the life they’ve built together.

Nate said it best on our drive home. “We’ve only known them a short time, but our lives are already richer because of them.”

Marsha and Judy, we love you to the moon, and we hope you love your wedding preview. Thank you for the greatest honor of letting us be your photographers!! :)

I have never, ever seen a more joyful start to a wedding ceremony than watching Marsha literally giggle and dance her way down the aisle and both of them greeting their guests with big hugs and kisses!!

Favorite. <3

Trying to steal a kiss after Judy said her vows! :)

Breaking the glass! Mazel tov! <3

MARRIED! <3

Their ceremony was at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge, and this little courtyard was my faaaaavorite! :)

Ollie’s two favorite people and most requested friends- “Ronna and Deg!” <3 <3

How happy is this cake set up?! Made by my our favorite cake maker- Nini Dink Designs Custom Cakes!

And now for some favorite photos from their morning after brunch! Orange juice cheers with Ollie! :)

My newest Mama! <3

“Tut Tut” and Ollie! <3

Marsha and Judy- My *only* complaint about your wedding is that we never got a photo together! Let’s fix that asap. We love y’all!!!! :)

Cami is ONE!

April 1, 2019 by Jensey Leave a Comment

It feels like last week we were pinned to our phones waiting for updates on the birth of our niece. I was crossing fingers and toes that she’d be a Valentine’s Day baby so we could be holiday birthday buddies, but Cami had other plans- She made her appearance just a couple hours past February 14th- But I forgive her. ;)

With our sporadic wedding and session schedule, we sometimes miss out on celebrating holidays and family birthdays, but I’m so glad we were able to make it down for our girl’s first! <3

Can we talk about Ollie’s amazing wrapping paper from Ashton Ink?! Thank you Ashton for helping my son be extra from day one! <3

Baby whisperer and uncle extraordinaire <3

Love this one with Cami and my moms-in-law! :)

Oh dear- Ollie wasn’t in his best form. He was fighting a low grade fever on and off all weekend- We’re pretty sure those two year old molars are on their way. :(

Anyone who’s met this kid knows he basically wakes up and doesn’t stop wiggling, giggling, or running until bedtime. The only good thing about sick Ollie was all the snuggles. I can’t remember the last time he napped on me!!

I promise she loves me. Ok, I think she does. I bought her that outfit- She’d better love me!!

Waited until goodbyes to try to push a cousin photo and he wasn’t having it!!! But these matching outfits weren’t gonna fit much longer!!

We love you, sweet Cami-girl. Happy ONE and here’s to more smiling cousin photos in the year ahead!!

A Toddler’s Guide to the Disney Cruise Line

March 30, 2019 by Jensey 8 Comments

We recently took Ollie on his first Disney Cruise, and he loooooved it. Like most of our Disney days, having a toddler means adjusting our usual plans for whatever he wants to do, and this trip was no different!

Cruising with a toddler can be stressful, so I thought I’d share Ollie’s top 10 favorite things about our trip!

  1. SMALL WORLD NURSERY. This was the biggest hit and despite the fact that I was on the verge of tears dropping him off (this was our first random drop-off with people we didn’t know), HE was in tears after picking him up! Every time we’d walk by the nursery the rest of our trip, he’d race to the door and bang for them to let him in to play with the toys! Ollie was absolutely in heaven. He was given snacks and apple juice every hour and they fed him TWO lunches and I’m pretty sure it’s his favorite place in the whole entire world. Oh, when we picked him up after our wedding on the ship’s pirate night, THIS FACE was greeting us on pick up and I died. Right there. <3

2. MICKEY WAFFLES. And this boy loves a good buffet, so Cabana’s is tied for 2nd here! :)

3. THESE LOBBY STEPS. Another best was killing about an hour just climbing up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down.

4. When we let him *leave* the splash pad. Everyone told us he’d love this amazing Finding Nemo splash pad but he cried the entire 15 minutes we “made” him play there!

5. Pepe the King Prawn Muppet has a hidden door on the ship!! Ollie found it and was ecstatic to find vacation photos of his “Babies!”

6. Running down every hallway and fist bumping any cast member or day guest who would let him!!

7. Did y’all know there’s a giant mural of Nate on the Disney Cruise Line?! Me neither, but Ollie was *convinced* this was his father and pointed, smiled, shrieked, and yelled “DADA!” every time we walked by, lol! :)

8. THIS rope. NOT the one next to it, only THIS one. Killed about 20 minutes right here!

9. Did you know every stateroom comes with this electronic hidden treasure chest?! This little safe kept Ollie occupied while we got ready every morning! He wasn’t able to crack the code this time, but I have faith he can do it on our next cruise! :)

10. Last but certainly not least, the little pirate Mickey tattoo he was given from the Small World Nursery! He just loved seeing “MEME!” every time he looked down at his arm, and we’d constantly see him just smiling and petting his arm, lol.

We really had a wonderful first family cruise and I *cannot* wait for our next one!! :)
