CC + Brian : Grand Floridian Wedding and Reception in Orlando, Florida

You. Guys.

Nate and I have taken up permanent residence on Cloud 9 since the adoption of our SON last month. We’re enjoying every second of our sweet boy, and I’m looking forward to (hopefully!!) carving out some time this summer to write a little about his adoption story and start sharing photos. For now, I’m spending my days mainly off my phone and snuggling baby Oliver, but I’m slowly starting to work a bit in the office again.

Of *course* we would become first-time parents with a two week notice in the middle of wedding season!! I’m so grateful to our couples for being so gracious about us taking a bit longer to get previews to them, and especially our couples whose wedding dates fall during my little “maternity leave.” As bummed as I am to not meet some Root couples I was looking forward to, I’m truly soaking in every bit of baby-ness I can before returning to work!!

CC and Brian have been nothing short of wonderful about waiting to see some preview photos from their wedding that was over a month ago!! It was the last one I photographed before Ollie was born, and I’m so excited to finally share these. What a wonderful wedding to end *my* spring wedding season with! <3

They got ready at the Swan hotel and had the most amazing suite for their bridal party to spread out the morning of their wedding!

Jessica + Mike : Grand Floridian Engagement Session

Jessica and Mike are getting married this summer in Ohio. While we won’t be there for the wedding, we were honored to photograph their engagement session around the Grand Floridian! Fun fact : Remember the family session we shot last year where the parents met as teenagers while vacationing at the Grand in high school? This is Jessica, Casey’s little sister. <3

Jessica has been staying at the Grand Floridian every year for the past *26* years!! Mike is now a part of the fun, so what better place to shoot their session than the Grand?!

The lighting that morning was perfect. Like… Perrrrrrfect. <3

We ended the session meeting up with Jessica’s family and shooting a Mickey balloon release for her mother in heaven. It was a moment I won’t forget. <3

Katelyn + Anthony : Orlando Engagement Session

The last time we saw Katelyn, she was the maid of honor in her sister Erin’s wedding. Erin and Mark’s Pennsylvania wedding in Rose Valley was truly a favorite of ours that year, and we left with fingers and toes crossed that Erin’s was only the first of her siblings’ weddings we’d be photographing! :)

We were thrilled when Anthony reached out about their upcoming family trip to Disney, where he’d be proposing and wanted to surprise Katelyn with an engagement session with us! We met them at the Grand Floridian, where they were all sparkly with that newly-engaged-glow. (It’s a real thing, I promise!)

Bumping into Katelyn’s family mid-session! :)

Katelyn and Anthony were staying here, so they popped back to their room for a quick outfit change. Before they left, Anthony said, “So, we had an idea…” Kate cut him off, “You. YOU had an idea.” Anthony floated the possibility of ending the session with them getting soaked in the Alice in Wonderland splash pad! We were allllll over it, but I wasn’t holding my breath that Katelyn would be 100% on board!

Anthony, we are so, so thankful you reached out and we can’t wait to finalize wedding plans. Katelyn, I can’t wait to see you in white, and P family, we hope to hug y’all again real soon!!!!!!!!!
