The B Family : Orlando Newborn Family Session

April 4, 2020 by Jensey Leave a Comment

I remember newborn Ollie life like it was yesterday.

The sleepless nights. My little chest space heater during long days on the sofa. Trying to cement in my memory how tiny his hands are. Smelling him as much as humanly possible.

The funny thing about newborn family life is you kind of slip into a family coma. Days blur together and you’re a puddle of emotions and you eat when you can’t remember when you last ate and your life consists of a pendulum constantly swinging from we’ve-totally-got-this-we’re-the-best-parents-in-the-world to ok-seriously-wtf-am-I-doing?!

Taylor is going through becoming a first time mom while self isolating, which I honestly think is the perfect time to become locked in and cozy with the new love of your life. <3

Taylor and Jeff, our hearts are so full for you. I can’t wait to meet the luckiest boy in the world… Welcome to the Root Lifers club, sir! :)

Katie + Patrick : Quantum Leap Winery Wedding

March 30, 2020 by Jensey Leave a Comment

Ohhhh, how quickly life can change in one short month! On Leap Day, we photographed our first wedding at Quantum Leap Winery.

The *only* time the word Corona was brought up in conversation was talking about how badly we felt that our couple had to change their honeymoon plans because of it. If we only knew what life would look like just two weeks later.

I’ve gone back and forth on whether to keep blogging and posting weddings out of respect, but I think it’s time to get the ball rolling again. I know *I* feel relief seeing non-news posts in my feed, and I think now is the perfect time to remind our couples that life moves on. Our brides are still planning weddings and I want to share the happiness we had the honor of shooting this spring before dates got rescheduled!

So on to these two. <3

If you follow along with the blog, Katie and Patrick were our famous Skyliner couple!! You can click the photo below for more favorites from that shoot! :) Katie was on the small team of people responsible for dreaming up the Skyliner and bringing it to life, so this location was a must! <3

Leap Day is Nate and my dating anniversary, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than watching these two tie the knot. <3

Alison from Blush by Brandee Gaar planned the day flawlessly! :)

The sweetest first look <3

Cute kids were in abundance this day! First up, this stud muffin! <3

Katie, you looked stuuuuuunning! <3

Look. At. This. Venue!!!!!!!!!!! Be still, my little wine-loving heart!! <3

Scooby watching along!! <3

Katie and Patrick, thank you for having us!!!! <3
