Olivia + Chris : Yacht and Beach Club Wedding

If you happen to follow us on social media, you may have noticed a major uptick in activity over on the ol’ Instagram, Facebook, and blog!

Turns out, when you live through a pandemic, sell a home, move in with in-laws for a couple months, then to an apartment, then build a home, then move *in* to the home, then move the crap from your storage units into said home, then take a little bit of time to paint and make that home your own, then go from your child being in VPK Monday-Friday to home 24 hours a day while you homeschool *and* carry a full-time job as you work from home, well… things tend to get put on the back-burner. For me, the first to go tends to be blog posts. Followed shortly by social media altogether.

Honestly it’s a wonder we’re still in this business, and I’m forever thankful for everyone being so patient as I slowly chug through our (130+!!!!) blog queue!! I know, I can’t believe it myself. I’m trying to keep up with current events first, and then going completely out of order and sharing past weddings from there. So if we still haven’t gotten to you, I promise it’s coming, but I can’t promise how many months or years it may be until we get to you! <3

Case in point, Olivia and Chris! This blog post is so old that these two have already gotten married, gotten pregnant, and welcomed the most beautiful baby into the world! I wish I could say this was my furthest-back wedding, but there’s no need to answer that, right?! ;)

If this isn’t good luck on your wedding morning, I don’t know what is!!

Amanda + Jeff : Disney Yacht and Beach Club Engagement Session

We received Amanda’s first inquiry on September 6th at 10:40pm, which Amanda later told us was approximately 15 minutes after browsing the DISboards. Another bride had mentioned she was hoping to get married in early December 2015. Amanda knew she needed to lock us in for her wedding date and wrote without first telling Jeff- (Thank you random Disney bride!)

They’re both cast members (Jeff even works in my old work home!), are self-proclaimed Disney nerds, love Disneyland more than the Magic Kingdom, and are hoping for a winter wedding theme. So basically we had absolutely nothing to talk about and the session was totally awkward and I didn’t leave kicking myself for not inviting them to Epcot for dinner with us after! ;)

Amanda and Jeff, thank you so much for being so wonderful and easy to photograph. I genuinely look forward to your wedding but hope to see you again before then! :)

I love finding secret spots at resorts! :)

This time next year, these guys will be married right here! <3

Kait + Scott : Walt Disney World Yacht Club Gazebo Wedding

It’s so rare that we photograph couples who have been together since they were teenagers! Kait and Scott dated through high school and college, so it was only natural that their Yacht Club wedding was the natural next step for these self-proclaimed Disney fanatics! Even though they’re New Yorkers, Kait and Scott are able to make near-monthly trips to their favorite place on Earth. :)

Favorite! This fella totally thought he was an invited guest and even made his way to the dance floor before the night was over. :)

This was our first time ever shooting an event on the Yacht and Beach Club Marina– So fun! Also so fun to see guests of the resort dancing along to the music in their hotel rooms. :) My favorite thing though? Kait mentioned that they found stick-on mustaches from their prop table across that boardwalk days later!

Second favorite. :)

Who needs an Illuminations Dessert Party when your reception has a view like this?!
