Kari + Chris

February 28, 2023 by Jensey 2 Comments

This wedding was a loooooong time coming: Kari and Chris met in high school! Engaged years later, their wedding plans were put through the ringer with Covid. Their day ended up being just perfect; it was even one of those very rare not-too-hot-and-not-too-cold Orlando winter days!

Thank you to our wonderful vendor team for making a happy day! :)

Venues | Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and GM Lounge
Hair and Makeup | Stacie Otto
Officiant | Reverend Kevin Knox

We started the day in Kari’s suite at Coranado’s Gran Destino Tower, and let. me. tell. you- favorite getting ready room everrrr!! The space, the natural light flooding in, all the textures and details; it was absolutely stunning. And getting ready at the Gran Destino Tower means you get THIS wall for your wedding dress photos!

I’m always hoping for unique details to photograph our couples’ rings with and I may have been a liiiiiittle excited to play with this Figment popcorn bucket! <3

There are a million reasons to hire Stacie Otto for your hair and makeup, but one of the biggest is no one can lace a wedding dress better or more efficiently than her! <3

First look feels on the lawn. <3

If you’ve never seen a Disney wedding with “Major Domo,” here’s how it normally goes: your officiant asks the best man for the wedding rings, and he panics. Like…. Panics. The officiant gives him a hard time in front of all of your guests, then loudly calls, “does ANYONE here have the rings?” and bam! Major Domo graces his way down the aisle to deliver them. :)

Their getaway car was Chris’s. <3

Nate’s photo on the left, mine on the right. :) Woot woot! Kari and Chris, thank you so much for having usssss!!!! <3

Katie + Juan : Epcot Wedding Reception

November 7, 2022 by Jensey 1 Comment

Katie and Juan met in veterinary school. Katie now works in general practice, and Juan works in emergency medicine, and we basically spent the day just telling stories to these guys about Huck and the Goldendoodle we hoped to bring home this year and like good vets, they eagerly grinned along! <3 They also happen to be big Disney lovers so it wasn’t a surprise when these guys decided that was where they wanted to get married, too!

Those Nate Root dress shots, y’all. <3

Easily one of my favorite first look reactions of the year!!

When the Mamas cry, I cry. EVERY time. <3

I love that Juan had a giddy reaction during the first look but emotional one when Katie walked down the aisle.

Off to Italy Isola for their reception!!

Katie and Juan, it was an absolute honor!! Thank you for having us! :)

Jennifer + Raphael : December Disney Wedding

December 15, 2021 by Jensey Leave a Comment

For the first time in years, Nate and I will be taking the last two weeks of December off. We’re moving into our forever home days before Christmas!!

SO with that being said, I’m trying to get some preview photos for everyone since we won’t have the rest of their photos done for another 4-6 weeks when we’re back in an office again! <3

First up? Jennifer and Raphael. <3

I don’t know where to start with these two except to say I think if I could clone a Root couple, this may just be the one I’d choose!

Our closest friends and family have heard about Raphael for the past 18 months from Oliver. Raph was so kind to give our fire truck-loving four year old a tour of Reedy Creek’s Fire Station and he has been in our daily conversations ever since. (Not a single ounce of exaggeration there!)

Jennifer is a true picture of beauty and patience- graciously rolling with every punch Covid took to her wedding plans. I think this was the third(?) date she booked with us and I was overjoyed for them that this one stuck. Between the perfect weather and Voices of Liberty singing holiday songs during their wedding reception, it’s hard to imagine this wedding *not* taking place in December!

Because they’ve waited faaaaar too long for some wedding photos, I’m not gonna make them wait anymore. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Ollie had a cell phone, this would 10000% be his lock screen photo! <3

Oscar-level gorgeous!!

THIS. FIRST. LOOK.

They had the sweetest private vow exchange during their first look!

Top ten favorite wedding moment everrrrr right here! Voices of Liberty. <3

Jennifer and Raphael, you’re gonna be stuck with us forever! We love y’all to pieces. <3
