Samantha + Quinn : Wedding Part I

July 24, 2012 by Jensey 4 Comments

We don’t hear stories like this too often anymore, but Sam and Quinn were high school sweethearts. :) Sam loves Disney and Quinn loves Sam, so the decision to have a Disney wedding didn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

Unfortunately Walt Disney World still doesn’t allow for outside photographers to shoot events in the park, so we were only able to shoot the wedding day up until the reception. I’m so honored that Sam and Quinn brought us along even though we couldn’t cover the whole day.

While I’m loyal to the Disney resorts, I have to say that the rooms at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort in Bonnet Creek were pretty amazing. Love the view from Quinn’s room!

Sam getting ready for their tea ceremony.

Sam and Quinn held their tea ceremony in Sam’s room at the Contemporary. I can’t believe this is only the second one we’ve ever shot!

Sam and her brother are incredibly close- When I found out he bought her wedding gown for her, I nearly melted! :)

Goooooorgeous!

The bridesmaid dresses reminded me of a modern day Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. :)

First look time! Quinn was so excited. :)

You have to come back tomorrow to see part II! :)

Ashley + Jerome : Engagement

February 2, 2012 by Jensey 2 Comments

We met Ashley and Jerome a couple days before their wedding day for their engagement session. They came down from Pennsylvania to get married, where Ashley’s a nurse and Jerome’s an emergency room doctor. Yes, just like on tv. Swoooooon!

This was one of the very first frames I shot and I knew they’d be an easy couple to photograph. I love snuggly couples! :)

Ashley, you’re adorable!

It felt like it’d been ages since our last engagement session at the Grand Floridian!

We hopped on the monorail for a few quick shots outside the Magic Kingdom front entrance (darn you, WDW no outside photography rule!)

Then it was back on the monorail for some play time at the Contemporary!

As much as I love Nashville, I left my heart at Disney World!

Nap time!

Check back tomorrow for their wedding post!

Louise + Spencer : Wedding

July 12, 2011 by Jensey 11 Comments

Louise and Spencer’s wedding day was a dream- We love intimate weddings, so when Louise told us only her parents, brother, and Spencer’s friend would be at the ceremony, I was in love. Louise got ready in her room at Disney’s Contemporary Resort which had quite the view of my favorite castle. :)

Oh, hello there! :)

When I first saw Louise’s custom hangar, I thought it was made with the incorrect wedding date; then I remembered in the UK, they switch the month and date. ;)

Louise went with our suggestion of using Patricia LeJeune as her hair and make-up artist, and we’re so happy she did. :)

Louise and Spencer did a quick first look before wedding time.

Louise and Spencer’s Sea Breeze Point ceremony was so charming and intimate.

Looooooooooooooooooved the cake. :)

While I felt awful for them that the weather was so humid and uncomfortable, we loved the full hour of portraits Louise arranged for us to have after the ceremony. :) My favorites!

I love our secret spot! Nothing about this feels like Disney property. ;)

My very, very close second favorite. Louise, this needs to be on canvas in your home!

We parted ways after our photo shoot and met up a few hours later at Disney’s Grand Floridian’s Sago Cay for their fireworks dessert party. I loved the lanterns they had hanging from the trees!

Louise and Spencer, thanks for being so wonderful to work with! Hope to see you sometime in your neck of the woods. :)
