Lindsay + Cody : The Preserve at Canyon Lake Wedding

August 23, 2022 by Jensey Leave a Comment

Lindsay and Cody as interns on the Disney College Program!! The very first day they went to the parks together, a character asked us if they were together. They burst out in nervous giggles; four years later, they were planning their wedding day!
Lindsay and Cody’s relationship was definitely put through it- once their internship was finished, they spent 3(!!!) years in a long distance relationship while they finished their degrees. They still found ways to vacation together, mutually falling in love with each other’s families. Before long, they were engaged, finally living together, and planning a Disney wedding…. until a pandemic came along.
With Disney weddings in a holding pattern for a few months, Lindsay and Cody ended up having an elopement in South Carolina and then moving their wedding date, and eventually the big celebration, to San Antonio. We were honored they still wanted us to be a part of the day and were thrilled to still photograph their celebration!!
It really was one of those days I couldn’t picture any other way. Lindsay found a DREAM of a wedding venue, The Preserve at Canyon Lake, that I wish I could scoop up and move to Central Florida. The house was so spacious and had the most glorious natural light, all sitting on a lake and surrounded by mature trees… it was almost like the venue was built by a photographer! Lindsay and Cody had a Hercules-inspired event with sweet touches from their invitations to their wedding cake, but my favorite was the floral. Their designer at Blume Haus Floral completely transformed the reception space to feel like I was walking into the garden where Megara sang “I Won’t Say I’m in Love.”
Lindsay and Cody, we love you both and hope to see you again soon!!!
Thank you to this phenomenal team for such a beautiful day!!

Hannah + Evan : Boardwalk Inn Wedding at Walt Disney World!

April 7, 2022 by Jensey Leave a Comment

This was a rare wedding where Ollie woke up pretty sick the day before and grandparents weren’t able to take him, so we called in reinforcements and our 2nd shooter Kim was able to play “Jensey” for the day!! Nate and Kim killed it per usual, and of course when I started editing Hannah and Evan’s photos, I wanted to cry because I missed out on such a fun weddinggggg!! <3

Evan and Hannah have one of my favorite meet-cutes!! I’ll let her tell the adorable story herself…

“So we met the night I arrived to Orlando for my Disney college program. After driving across the country from texas we went straight to Disney springs to shop around the night before check in. While checking out at World of Disney I noticed the cast member had a DCP name tag that said Evan from the University of Tennessee. Being super excited to be talking to the first CP I met upon arriving there for my own, I asked him about when he arrived, how he’s enjoying it, etc. He told me he had just arrived two weeks earlier and was loving it, then told me good luck on my program and winked at me.
Two days later my mom and I finished moving in to my DCP apartment and wanted to grab lunch on property. I texted in a group chat I had joined from the DCP Facebook page aptly named DCP feminists asking where to park to get lunch on the boardwalk, and I received a response from none other than Evan Hamilton himself. I clicked on his photo and asked my mom if he looked like the cute boy from world of Disney and she said yes omg text him and I said no way that’s weird but she encouraged me to do it anyway. A month later I asked him out to see Happily ever after fireworks on Main Street and the rest is history!”

I think you’re going to loooove these photos- I was immediately smitten when I saw Hannah’s wedding dress but my jaw dropped when I found out it was designed by her childhood best friend! This was what Hannah had to say about her dress : “I had the honor of having my wedding dress designed and custom made by my childhood best friend and day one fashion inspiration, THE Mariah Sliwinski. Mariah is such a force and so unbelievably talented. Growing up by your side and watching you work your magic through every step of the design process made this whole experience so much more special and memorable. There are so many special touches to this dress that help tie my own a story into it, from the lace from my mother’s wedding dress lining the inside, to the hidden Mickey at the end of the train.”

One of Nate and my songs (and now a family favorite since Ollie is obsessed too) is “Surrey with the Fringe on Top.” Before we eloped, we’d planned on making our wedding exit to that song and I just think it’s one of the most romantic songs ever written. So naturally, my favorite part of their day was when Hannah and Evan made their exit in a (fringe-less) surrey on the Boardwalk!

Hannah and Evan, thank you for letting us be your photographers and I hope you love your photos as much as I loved editing them!! <3

Nicole + Andrew : Snow White Themed December Wedding

December 21, 2021 by Jensey Leave a Comment

Happy Christmas Week to everyone celebrating!!! And happy holidays to anyone celebrating anything else!!

We Hanukkah-ed earlier this month and watched our son fall in love with Dreidel, and now I’m giddy about watching my four year old in Santa mode. He wishes for a blue drum set on every penny and star he can find. Stay tuned to see if Santa’s sleigh can fit one! :)

We’re all packed up to move this week and are trying to get photo previews to all of our couples before we take a two week break to catch up on life. Next up is Nicole and Andrew and their incredible Snow White themed wedding, complete with poisoned apple wedding favors. <3 There were so many little nods to the story, which was extra sweet learning that Andrew calls Nicole his “Snow,” and he proposed at the wishing well in Germany where Snow White does meet and greets- And the princess herself was there for the moment!

Nicole and Andrew, thank you for having us- we wish you nothing but the happiest of ever afters! :)

Thank you to our incredible team for making this one so magical! <3
