Amelia and Schuyler : The Oldest House Wedding in St. Augustine, FL Part I
My littler sister was a bride. My little sister is a wife!
It seems unfathomable, mainly because this is how I will remember her forever and ever. It’s how I remember all 3 of us, actually. I was going to post an embarrassing childhood photo of her to open this blog post but decided since she IS a Root bride, to not be mean and single her out. Instead, I’ll throw all of us under a bus. But hey, look how skinny I was! And fanny packs came back this year, right? So nothing to be ashamed of here. Moving on! <3
Thank you to our vendor friends for taking such good care of my little sister. From being treated like royalty while finding her dress at Solution’s to Jim keeping her dance floor packed, it was such a wonderful feeling knowing she was in such good hands. :)

Amelia and Schuyler got ready with their wedding party in their home. :)
Hello sister-in-law! <3
I’ve held a looooot of dress trains on the way to first looks but this one was so so special! <3
This venue. That chandelier! <3
Behind the scenes of the photo above! Oh, how lovely it’d be to shoot in full hair and makeup for every wedding day. <3
Hi Dad! <3
One of my favorites. <3
Sis-in-law and seester love <3
One of my favorites- My poor dad could barely hold it together!!
Between my brother living in Germany and our crazy lives, I cannot remember the last time I had a photo with my siblings!!
Poor Ollie- He only cries these days when we leave him- Handing him off to my sister wasn’t what he had in mind!!

On to their wedding reception! They had these cute corn hole boards which Ollie thought was a slide, so he did this for an hour, lol!
The real MVPs of the wedding: My sweet in-laws. They chased Ollie around for hours for us so we could shoot and be present!!
Leave it to my son to track down the only American flags at the reception, lol!
First dance to James Taylor’s “Smiling Face.” <3
My dad at the end of their parent dance. <3

More Ollie photos because I’m still not over his little bowtie. <3

Oh, this job o’ mine. <3
Sometimes the most lovely couple gets the most lovely light and the most lovely weather and has the most lovely flower girl, and then you get two DOGS on top of it all and it just ends up being the most, most lovely wedding. :)
Adriana and Blake spent four years together leading up to this day and we were thrilled to be a small part of the most lovely vendor team! :)

This emotional first look… I just can’t. <3
My one-eyed-dog-mama-heart just melted entirely. <3
And then there was this little miss- She was Nate’s shadow all day and I lost count of how many times I caught her running after my husband with outstretched arms, lol!
See what I mean?!
Can’t you just hear her laugh?!
The only wedding guest I’m ok with falling in love with my husband! <3
Reverend Glynn and his Starbucks! :)
I’m still so smitten with that wooden wedding arch by Ocean Hawks Rentals! <3
BEST. MOMENT. OF. ANY. WEDDING. CEREMONY. EVER. <3
Been a while since we’ve had a ring drop and retrieval! :)
The Historic Dubsdread Ballroom never looked so good! <3
In case you’re not familiar with Disney’s Lava, head here immediately. <3
Ollie saw me editing the next two photos, and his captions were my favorite!
This one: “They sleepin’, Mama.”
“LOOK! She wake up!” <3
Second favorite part of their wedding day? La Hora Loca! Their guests all donned colorful masks as two drummers and two dancers burst through the door to have “the crazy hour!”
Not even gonna caption this one, but they know what happened, lol! ;)
Adriana and Blake, we cannot thank you enough for having us- SUCH a fun day and we hope you love your photos as much as we loved taking them! :)
