About 15 years ago, Vanessa and Kevin met through mutual friends Jenn and Kevin. Jenn and Kevin were dating at the time; Vanessa was Jenn’s roommate, and Kevin was their unofficial roommate
Kevin joined the group from time to time and Vanessa and I instantly clicked with each other. They were Best Man and Maid of Honor at Jenn and Kevin’s wedding in Walt Disney World.
After the wedding, Kevin planned a trip to Death Valley with a friend. When he posted about it online, Vanessa commented that it was one of her favorite places too, so she joined in on that part of the trip. They spent a couple of days catching up, realized that things felt different than in years past, and proceeded to text nearly every day for a year. They returned to Joshua Tree a year later, shortly before Vanessa had been planning to move back to the East Coast, admitted that they had feelings for each other, and decided to become a couple!!
Nate was so excited to fly to Providence for their wedding. Not only to hang with Jenn and Kevin again, but also to have an excuse to visit somewhere COLD! ❄
