Looks like it’s time to wrap up Lindsay and Jackie’s wedding week!

This is Bill, the organist at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and one of our favorite faces of the DFTW team! :)

I love that their four legged kids were represented at the wedding. :)

Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavorite. This one has me itching to give our website galleries a serious overhaul this year.

Their reception was at Ariel’s.

Nate couldn’t remember their first dance song, but it looked happy! :)

Waaaaaah I am miiiiiissing! :(

Hands down our favorite Disney DJ, Charles Miles. Book him, Root DisBrides! <3

And while I layed in a hospital bed catching up on Girl Meets World, Nate photographed Lindsay and Jackie’s dessert party solo and did AMAZING. If I didn’t love shooting these events so often, I’d make Nate go on his own from now on! :)

As you may remember from Lindsay and Jackie’s preview post, this wedding took place while I was in the hospital with a gallbladder attack. In nearly 10 years, this was the second wedding I ever missed! :( I think before we even called our parents, we were emailing Kim to see if she could step in while I was unavailable! Of course I’m super bummed I missed their day, but Nathanial did some of his best work and knowing Kim was there to help him out was the biggest relief!

Lindsay + Jackie : Engagement Session at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort

I was about to start blogging Lindsay and Jackie’s wedding day when I realized I never posted their engagement session!

These two were engaged for nearly 3 years before starting to plan their Disney wedding. They’re from Texas, and have truly made it to the list of our all-time favorite couples. <3 We photographed their engagement session around the Wilderness Lodge. Enjoy, and come back later this week when I blog their wedding- It’s a two part-er! :)

Yay Giveaway!

Today is one of those silly milestones that might not seem like much, but it’s a pretty big deal for me.

This is my 1000th blog post. 1000, you guys!!

We wanted to do something fun to commemorate it, so here we go! Years ago we did a session giveaway and loved the response. It actually led us to meeting one of our favorite families, one of the daughters eventually becoming our wedding assistant for a while! :)

So maybe you’ve been putting off booking that family photo session. Or you want to see my cute husband climb a tree. Maybe it’s been 10 years since your wedding and you haven’t been in front of the camera since. We want to hear from you!

Nathanial and I will be giving away one free portrait session* and USB drive (Valued at $700.) All entries must be received by Sunday, July 26th as we will be announcing our winner Thursday, July 30th on the blog.

All you have to do is take a photo of you and whomever else will be photographed and write a little something about why YOU should be in front of our cameras and send your entry to yaygiveaway@rootweddings.com. Your 10 day deadline begins now… We can’t wait to meet you! :)

*Your entry must be received by Sunday, July 26th at 11:59pm EST. The winner will be announced on the blog on Thursday, July 30th. Session date is based on our availability. Session must take place in Central Florida and take place by the end of June 2016 unless otherwise discussed. Must be at least 18 years old to enter. :)
