Clare + Jackson : Family

September 19, 2012 by Jensey 8 Comments

I’m a little late(r than usual) in posting this adorable family!

Erika first heard about us when she was up all night with Jackson when he was an infant- After searching the DIS Boards wedding forum and stumbling on our pal Carrie’s planning journal, she found our blog and has been reading along ever since!

These guys are actually from our home state, but after a rained out Tennessee session, we ended up photographing them around Downtown Disney when our trips lined up. They are the picture perfect family of four (soon to be five!), and we just loved hanging out with them, even though I totally lost my camera bag somewhere in the first ten minutes of our shoot! I tried to play it cool for the remainder of the session, reminding myself that while I’m a total idiot, we have insurance for these things… Thankfully, Disney Security is awesome and my Kelly Moore bag was patiently waiting for me at Guest Relations when we were done. *Whew!*

Jackson is the sweetest big brother ever… This completely unprompted hug made me tear up!

I told you- Sweetest boy ever.

FAVORITE!

It’s impossible to be around Clare Bear and *not* smile!

You guys, thanks for letting us play with you!!! Can’t wait to meet the next addition. :)

Valerie + John : Wedding Part II

September 13, 2012 by Jensey 5 Comments

Continued from Valerie and John’s Wedding Part I!

Germantown Presbyterian had one of the more intense “church ladies” we’d ever worked with. She was constantly breathing down our neck about the timeline and had to know where we were and where we were planning on being every minute we were shooting. I felt like her eyes were locked on me during the whole ceremony to make sure I didn’t go one step farther than our invisible boundary allowed. It wasn’t until I told her that we were planning on taking Valerie and John to the church gymnasium that she lost her mind- “You’re taking them where? Are you kidding me?!”

Lucky for us, Valerie and John trusted us completely and I ended up getting my favorite shot of the day (luckily Mom and church lady weren’t around to see them tossing their flowers!) :

Ceremony time!

Valerie’s daddy undoubtedly had the best view of the day from heaven.

Off to Memphis Botanical Garden for the reception!

I love combined parent dances. :)

I loved seeing how much Valerie’s step dad adored her and her sisters.

And then this happened…

Can you tell they’re father and son?!

Valerie and John, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day!!
