Ohhhhh, this bride. <3
Kristen found us though her co-cast members Nick and Jessie years ago (You know, Hallpants and Henry Bear’s parents), and has been a loyal blog reader since. Kristen had me in tears telling us a story of a visit she took to Clemson with friends- she ran into Jessie’s brother at an off-campus apartment and recognized him from their wedding photos!
My other favorite Root blog/ Kristen story is that when Scott needed help finding Kristen’s engagement ring, Kristen’s best friend sent him Veronica’s gummy bear ring photo from a few years ago for inspiration :
Needless to say, Nate and I were tickled that she brought us up to Pennsylvania to photograph her wedding to Scott. Kristen had dreamed of a barn wedding, but they had too many guests attending for the venues she was finding. Enter Normandy Farm, a location we randomly photographed a wedding at years prior! It’s so weird how often we’ve had repeat weddings at out of state venues, and luckily this one is a favorite PA wedding spot. <3
Kristen got that dress on the right for $1. ONE DOLLAR, Y’ALL.
Pre-ceremony love letters are the beeeeeest!
You can take the bride out of Disney, but you can’t take the Disney out of the bride! Kristen made those shoes herself, I told her she needs to start an Etsy shop!
Love a sweet first look! <3
Kristen’s brother made them this sign!! It greeted the guests as they showed up for the ceremony.
Kristen was one of the “sunniest” brides we’ve ever photographed- I think I smiled the entire time I was editing their photos! Scott is such a sweet guy and soooooooo smitten with his wife, I loved just watching them with each other on their wedding day. Luckily that’s literally my job, so that’s not weird at all… Right? ;)
Ceremony altar handcrafted by Kristen’s dad and brother. How sweet is that?!
Kristen’s best friend’s husband married them, and I love that before he even began the ceremony, he made the guests and bridal party roll their arms to loosen up and get comfy. :)
That cake topper!!!!!
What do you do when taking a table shot of cast members? Make them do mouse ears! <3
Dance floor Scott was my faaaaaaaaavorite!!!
Kristen and Scott, we love y’all too much!!! Let us know when you’re back in town!!! <3
I’m going to need to know the story of the $1 dress! :)
Simply gorgeous! And Kristen definitely should start her own Etsy (or at least make a tutorial) with these cute shoes!
Only the after party dress was $1- a sample sale! ;)
Thanks soooo much Jensey and Nate!! You so perfectly captured our Root journey as well as our wedding day!! We love all of these pics and I definitely love being featured on this blog :) You guys are the best!
Love the shoes, love all the colors, Beautiful wedding.
Great synopsis! Thank you so much for capturing such an amazing day!
