Don’t forget to check out Ashley and Jerome’s engagement session post from yesterday.

Jerome’s niece, Olivia, was the flower girl for their wedding day. She’s a bit of a spunky monkey, and I’ll forever remember the constant “OLIVIA!” yells throughout the day. As Ashley said numerous times, “It’s a good thing she’s so cute!” :)

Oh, Olivia. I think she should recreate this photo on HER wedding day! :)

Can you tell Maxine is one of our favorite wedding planners ever?!

Pretty bride. :)

Ashley made these- They turned out so cute!

While Nate was stalling Ashley with bridal portraits in the Grand Floridian lobby, I was out back photographing her surprise wedding gift from Jerome.

Ashley was so choked up by Jerome’s gift that she literally cried off her fake eyelashes!

While waiting for the carriage to pull up, I spent a few moments with Ashley’s best friends. I asked them what they thought of Jerome, and one of them said he’s exactly the man you’d want your best friend to marry.

I love that all of these groomsmen are Disney fans! They were singing every word to Can You Feel the Love Tonight, A Whole New World, and quoting scenes from movies with each other before the ceremony. :)

Me & Maxine. I love her! <3

My favorite!!! They ordered a huge 30×40″ canvas of this for their home!

Tradition!!!!

Ashley and Jerome, thank you for being such a dream to work with! Wishing you the happiest of ever afters! :)

We met Ashley and Jerome a couple days before their wedding day for their engagement session. They came down from Pennsylvania to get married, where Ashley’s a nurse and Jerome’s an emergency room doctor. Yes, just like on tv. Swoooooon!

This was one of the very first frames I shot and I knew they’d be an easy couple to photograph. I love snuggly couples! :)

Ashley, you’re adorable!

It felt like it’d been ages since our last engagement session at the Grand Floridian!

We hopped on the monorail for a few quick shots outside the Magic Kingdom front entrance (darn you, WDW no outside photography rule!)

Then it was back on the monorail for some play time at the Contemporary!

As much as I love Nashville, I left my heart at Disney World!

Nap time!

Check back tomorrow for their wedding post!

Sent to us from past couple Erin and Rick :

As many other couples, we originally chose to do a first look for practicality. As our wedding day approached we realized how important it was for us to have great photos throughout our day. We knew the day would fly by once we were ready to go and the first look was our chance to take a few moments before the busyness of the day began. We were able to chat about the little details of the big day ahead.

From Erin’s point of view: “There was one thing I was sure about, that I didn’t want to cry in front of everyone during the ceremony. I wanted to be able to focus on our vows and not worry how I looked to the guests or cameras.”

From Rick’s point of view: “As much of our day was nontraditional in nature, the first look was our chance to get nervousness out of the way.”

Looking back we wouldn’t have changed a thing. We hope other couples choose to do a first look so they are able to take advantage of this experience they won’t soon forget.

Over the past few years, we’ve been able to share a number of adventures with Root Photography blog stars Carrie and Patrick. Last October when they invited us to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, I knew it was going to be like no other MNSSHP I’d attended in the past! I was right.

The Magic Kingdom looks glorious in the fall. :)

Nope, that’s not a Disney character…

… It’s my Carrie. I mean… The late Constance Hatchaway. Constance resides in the Haunted Mansion along with 998 happy haunts (But there’s room for 1000- Any volunteers?) We spent the evening with her and her most recent husband/ victim…

Harrison Hightower! If you’re like me and haven’t been to Tokyo Disneyland, Harrison is who the Tower of Terror there is centered around. He’s an explorer, and the little green guy is Shiriki Utundu, an idol Harrison brought back from Africa.  Patrick made this costume (as well as Shiriki!), and the costume was so believable, guests thought he and Carrie were Disney Cast Members. :)

This is seriously just a small handful of all the guests (and Cast Members) that posed for photos with Constance and Harrison. A crowd actually formed around them in the photo on the bottom left of the collage- They just stood around waiting for a show, and of course, Patrick/Harrison happily obliged. :)

HalloWishes!

I’m constantly trying to convince friends to go to Not-So-Scary… I think it’s worth the admission just for the parade- It’s my all time favorite. :)

I don’t know what I love more- The Headless Horseman or Haunted Mansion dancers and grave yard diggers!

Remember this family from their Boardwalk family session last year? We met up again for more fun, this time at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. :)

This is one of my all-time favorite family photos. High fives to Nate. And Tricia, for climbing that tree! :)

I wish I had photos like these from my childhood!

More to come soon, guys! :)
