Kristen + Rob : Wedding Part I

June 13, 2012 by Jensey 6 Comments

It was just your average girl meets boy story : Kristen saw Rob in her one-armed-bass-player-friend’s YouTube video and she thought he was totally cute and subscribed to Rob’s channel. It didn’t take long before Rob saw Kristen was from Orlando and shot her a message about how much he loved Disney, and the rest was history. But you know, we hear that one all the time. *Yawn!*

We’ve been looking forward to Kristen and Rob’s wedding since our first meeting with them in Nashville a year and a half ago. We all clicked so well and shared a love for Arrested Development- What more could a photographer ask for? :)

We began their wedding day in Kristen’s parents’ home. :)

Usually one of the first things we do the morning of a wedding is meet the bridesmaids and family members in the room. We loved that Rob’s sister needed no introduction! :)

I loved Kristen’s silly cousin. :)

Kristen and Rob were actually sent to us by Rob’s “best lady,” who randomly found us online. Heather, you’re awesome. :)

Kristen and Rob were married at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park, Florida.

Rob’s sister, Jen, was one of the best vocalists we’ve ever heard at a ceremony!!

“Just married” faces. :)

Their wedding day had over an 80% chance of rain, but it stayed clear until the reception! Their wedding locations were about a 10 minute walk from each other, but Kristen and Rob gave us tons of photo time on the way. :) It was so fun to walk with the bridal party down Park Avenue on a busy Saturday afternoon!

Kristen had her grandmother’s prayer books tied to her bouquet- So sweet. :)

Face snuggling time!

Why don’t all wedding gowns have pockets?! Check back for part two of this wonderful wedding, including a celebrity sighting on Park Avenue! :)

Lisa + Jeffrey : In Love

March 19, 2012 by Jensey 6 Comments

I’m gonna tell you a little story.

Nate and I met Jeffrey Stoner about 3 and a half years ago. We fell in love with him after 30 seconds of talking to him, which I’m sure is how every person who’s ever met Jeffrey feels. He’s just so darn kind and has an energy about him that is so incredibly comfortable that you immediately want to 1- Tell him your whole life story and 2- Be his best friend in the whole entire world, ever. Jeffrey and Nate are two peas in a pod… They honestly could be brothers. And he had a gorgeous sheltie!

We didn’t see Jeffrey again for one year, six months, and one day. In the meantime, we’d become Facebook friends. Whenever someone in the industry would bring up his name, we’d say all excited, “Oh, Jeffrey! We love him!” and then I’d suddenly feel completely and utterly embarrassed if it ever got back to Jeffrey, because he probably didn’t even remember us! We were in friend love. With someone we’d only met twice. It was awkward.

But that second time we got to work with him, Jeffrey started telling us about his new relationship- It was with a gorgeous gal he’d been best friends with for a decade, and he was on cloud 9. 19, even. I remember asking him what he loved most about Lisa, and he said it’s like they’re on the same frequency. It was beautiful. :)

Fast forward quite some time, and we still never got to hang out with Mr. Stoner. I Facebook friended his gorgeous lady friend, the Mary Poppins of the wedding industry. She’s a wedding planner and holy moly, her events put the Royal Wedding to shame! I mean, did you see Taylor and Michael’s reception?! I was so intimidated to meet her- All I knew about her was that she was crazy gorgeous, talented, and really into fashion. Seeing as I never quite mastered the art of walking in heels, I was pretty much set on the idea that we’d have nothing in common. The four of us would have a nice lunch and go on with our lives.

Ohhhhhhhh, how wrong I was! They asked us tons of questions about our elopement and we got to share why we did it and why it was the best decision ever. It probably took all of 10 minutes before Lisa and I bonded over our love of all things Disney… Not only that, but she, too, was once a cast member. *Swooooooon!* We left lunch with big grins hoping we’d found our new best friends!

It was a while later when we received a top secret email from Lisa and Jeffrey- They were eloping, no one knew about it, and they wanted us to document it. Honest to goodness, my first response to Nate was, “Oh my gosh… This is so awkward. I think they sent us that email by mistake- Just write back and let them know.” I was wrong- It was no mistake. Two short months later, and we were flying with them (and Lisa’s two charming daughters- More on them later!) to New York to get ’em hitched!

These photos were taken when no one knew they were getting married- But us. I had butterflies the whole time. :)

Whenever we watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, there’s something about Jim Carrey that reminds us of Jeffrey. I think there’s further proof here!

Favorites. :)

The one on the right is my most favorite- SO them.

Some photos are better left unexplained. ;)

Why I love them so much- They can go from silly to stunning in two seconds flat. :)

Part one of their amazing elopement adventure posts tomorrow!

Go here next- No, really. :)

Fleming + Peter : Wedding Part II

October 18, 2011 by Jensey 3 Comments

Continued from Fleming and Peter’s Wedding Part I. :)

Fleming’s Mom was full of stories about Fleming’s childhood. My favorite was when she got a phone call from a neighbor telling her to come outside, there’s something she needed to see. Little Fleming was sticking her head out her bedroom window shouting, “This is Fleeemmmmmiiiiinnnng!! My mother has put me in time out for no reason!!! Someone help! Call 911!” over and over again. LOVE. :)

It was our first time shooting at Interlachen Country Club and we loved it!

Caught a sneeze. Sorry, Peter, but I love this one!!

My favorite thing about these two? They named their dog Sprocket! *Swoon!*

Their amazing band performed You Are the Best Thing for their first dance.

I’m recommending this to every couple from now on- So many times at receptions, our couples never get the chance to eat because there so many guests constantly coming up and congratulating, etc. Right after the toasts and parent dances, Fleming and Peter snuck off to a vacant ballroom and ate dinner together, just the two of them, then went back to join their guests. And seriously, this photo is just precious. :)

Fleming easily ties with Julie for danciest bride ever!

Love it!!!!

Each guest took home flowers.

Fleming’s parents have always called her “Bird,” so there were little bird nests hidden in the decor… Love it. :) Her sister’s nickname is “Termite,” so I’m even more curious to see how they work in details for that one! ;)

Fleming and Peter, we love you to the moon! Now get your cute butts to Nashville, pronto! :)
