Victoria + Jack : Wedding Part I

May 24, 2011 by Jensey 8 Comments

Victoria and Jack came all the way from the United Kingdom to get married at Walt Disney World. I so love our British brides for a number of reasons : 1- I became completely and utterly obsessed with all things Royal Wedding, 2- In my twisted way of thinking, this gets me a smidgen closer to my new life long dream of being Catherine’s bff, 3- The hats that the guests wear, 4- I’ve been told my “British accent” sounds part Chinese, part drunk, and part Bert from Mary Poppins, so the more I’m around it, the more I can perfect it!

The biggest reason we love our British brides, though, is because they and their guests are so darn nice. Victoria’s wedding day was hardly work for us! The second we stepped into the hotel room, Victoria’s Mom asked about Huck, and immediately I knew it was going to be an amazing day. :)

Because it feels like it’s been ages since we posted a mirror shot, here we goooo!

Victoria let me do my first ever Face Time with her friend Hayley, who happens to be our adorable portrait session winner!

This smile didn’t leave Jack’s face all day. Seriously. And I loved him for it. :)

Gotta love Disney floral!

I’m gonna go on record and say Katie and Hayley, Victoria’s bridesmaids, were two of the sweetest attendants we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. They were so supportive, happy, and looked like Giselle from Enchanted. I want a Katie and Hayley in my life!

Victoria is an only child, and it was clear she had her Dad wrapped around her finger. Every time he so much as looked her way, he started tearing up. Victoria’s parents were the cutest, and I loved seeing them sneak little moments with each other through out the day. :)

Victoria and Jack’s Part II here!

Nikki + Michael : Engagement

May 19, 2011 by Jensey 2 Comments

These two are extra special to us because they come from two past couples… Not only is Michael the best friend of Michael (of Nicole and Michael), but Nikki is Jason’s sister (of Dara and Jason).

When it came time for us to discuss locations for their engagement session, there was no other option in their minds than Disney’s Polynesian Resort, where Michael popped the question. It was quite the elaborate set-up involving Michael (our past groom) going to the Polynesian first and lighting candles and hiding out to take photos of the big moment. After a Downtown Disney movie date, Nikki asked to stop at Publix on the way home, but Michael insisted on stopping for a Dole Whip. The last thing Nikki expected was a proposal!

Before popping the question, Michael surprised Nikki with a comic book starring them that he spent hours and hours making. (Photo taken by the talented and stealthy Michael Snead, our past groom whom I hope to trick into joining us at weddings soon…)

The last page of said comic book :

Nikki, you’re gorgeous.

My favorite. :)

Nikki and Michael, we’re so excited for your big day this July!

Erin + Brendan : Wedding Part II

April 27, 2011 by Jensey 10 Comments

Continued from Erin and Brendan Part I. :)

After getting married at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, we headed to Narcoose’s for the reception and stopped for photos along the way.

From now on when we shoot morning Disney weddings, I’m requesting Mickey waffles. Scratch that… I’m demanding them! It’s torture to walk by these on the way to a vendor meal.

I love when couples get personal with their cake toppers!

FAVORITE!

Erin told me earlier in the day that her Mom complained there’s not much of a role for Moms in weddings… You know, your Dad gives you away, gives a toast, gets to do the father/ daughter dance. When Erin surprised her Mom with a mother/ daughter dance to “Baby Mine,” there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. :)

Erin also brought up her sister and new niece to join in. :)

Yes, I shot their rings in a Mickey waffle. Shut up. :)

I like this one much better…

… But Nate’ll be mad if I don’t include this one, even though I look like a gargoyle next to Erin!

Best. Gift. Ever. Brendan is a talented artist and painted the intro frame of us from our website… Amazing flower clouds, electric plug and repeating frames and all. Oh yes, there were tears.

Erin and Brendan, to say we love you would be an understatement. Please, please, please let’s be friends. K? <3
