If you don’t remember Rachel and Matthew from their playful downtown Delray Beach engagement session with their two dogs, you should click here and remind yourself.
Matthew and Rachel met the same way Nate and I did: Through a best friend who wasn’t trying to set them up, it just sort of happened. :) On that first night they met, Matthew told Rachel’s best friend he was already smitten. They chose the W Fort Lauderdale as their wedding venue, and from the moment we showed up, everything was practically perfect. :)
I LOVE DOGS ON WEDDING DAYS!
I also love Rachel’s wedding gown. Did you ever read Ramona the Pest when you were little? I loved Ramona books and one of my favorite things was how badly she wanted to pull Susan’s curls and watch them boing. Well, I was sort of like that with Rachel’s wedding dress. All I wanted to do was touch it!
So many favorites, but this is a big one.
Rachel didn’t want to do a first look when we first brought it up, but the more we discussed their wedding day timeline, the more obvious it became that if they wanted any portraits of the two of them, that was sort of the only option. (They were married after sundown.) I felt really awful that she wasn’t excited about it at first, but all that changed when the moment actually happened. About 5 minutes afterward in the elevator, she couldn’t stop telling me how happy she was they did it. *Whew!*
Coolest. Elevator. Ever. :)
Another favorite!
I can have a third favorite, right??
Mamma-razzi!
