Sammy + Shannon = Hannah + Selah

November 22, 2010 by Jensey 9 Comments

I find that the closer I am to a couple, the harder it is to write the post. But seeing as how I’ve pushed these guys toward the end of Family Month, I can’t stall any longer! As much as I wanna say, “I’ll just let the pictures do the talking,” I can’t, because first you have to understand how incredibly awesome this family is. :)

God brought Sammy and Shannon to me in my darkest days. I have no doubt that we were meant to be friends, and these guys really took me in as part of their family. My favorite memories in Orlando (the non- Nate ones, anyway) all took place with these two by my side, and it breaks my heart that we’re not as close as we used to be. (I’m completely to blame there!) I will always have a huge place in my heart for this family, and Sammy and Shannon will always be my dream siblings. They are the beautiful faces behind God’s House Orlando, “The most loving church in Orlando.” My avid Disney readers should recognize Sammy from the kick-ass a cappella group, Four for a Dollar, that used to open for the Beauty and the Beast show at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. Sad face.

I owe so much to these kids- Even if we shot a million family sessions it wouldn’t be enough! Anyway, without further ado, meet the most loving family in Orlando!

Sammy isn’t the only performer in the family- The whole group sings. We were shooting away when they broke into a spontaneous chorus of “Don’t Stop Believin’.” In perfect pitch, I might add. I’m still hoping for a family album to be released. ;)

Yeah… Selah’s totally shy- Can’t you tell?

The last time I’d seen Hannah, she was close to the age Selah is now. They’re growing up so fast- And so gorgeous! Before I know it, we’ll be shooting Hannah’s wedding. ;)

These next three are my favorites- I wish I had ones like this with my sister when I was this age. :)

Selah is all Sammy. I love it. :)

My favorite photo of my favorite family. This one’s framed in our house. :)

Unfortunately the end of their session was rained out so, gosh darn it, we had to resume the fun a few weeks later. :) Those photos to come tomorrow! In the meantime…

To buy cds from Sammy’s group, Return 2 Zero, you can order them here (“Snowfall” remains one of my favorite holiday albums of all time!).

To learn more about Return 2 Zero (or book them for your wedding, *hint hint*), you can find more information here.

Casey + David : Preview

October 27, 2010 by Jensey 7 Comments

If you don’t remember Casey and David’s engagement session in Central Park from last fall, you should go revisit it! :)

This is one of my favorite getting-ready photos… Casey, you look so timeless. :)

Their reception was at the ever-gorgeous Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando.

Happy honeymoon, kids! :)

Their day wouldn’t have been as flawless if it weren’t for wedding planner extraordinaire Allison from Blush and the lovely Jen Sandler from Rosen Shingle Creek. Thanks for such a fun night, guys! :)

Emily + Stephen : Engagement

May 19, 2010 by Jensey 7 Comments

Well, since Emily and Stephen’s wedding post will be coming up in the next week or so, I thought I might share my favorites from their engagement session with you guys. :)  We took their photos around Rollins Campus in Winter Park. Enjoy!!

I really like the simplicity of the next two shots:

Random fact: Emily officially became a Dr. this week! :) Yeah… Gorgeous and crazy smart- Watch out, world!

I was in love with what Emily’s dress!! BCBG has a great line out right now if any of you brides are interested! :)

I love a good foot-pop! :)

I think this one’s my favorite. :)

Wedding photos to come soon!
