This was our second session with this adorable family. I love photographing families through the years; I feel like we’re able to jump right in and pick up where we left off!

Their first session was at the Boardwalk Inn and included ice-cream and a family surrey ride. This time, we climbed trees and played duck, duck, goose. :)

I love how silly Declan is!

You may remember this photo from January’s 9th with Nathan on the importance of family photos.

Tricia is the queen of dressing her family for a photo shoot! Love Katie’s ruffle dress.

I was always awful at duck, duck, goose! Red rover is much more my style. ;)

Danielle + Patrick : Wedding

You may or may not know that I don’t blog events in chronological order. Sometimes I’m pretty good about it and will blog the full event a month or two after the wedding, while sometimes, well… (*cough*it can take up to a year *cough*) I schedule out blog posts months in advance, so if one slips through the cracks, it takes me a while to squeeze it in somewhere. My apologies, Danielle! :)

Anyway, these photos are from Danielle and Patrick’s wedding at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. They were our first wedding of 2011. Orlando friends, do you remember that random weekend that had crazy strong winds? Like, so bad that after standing outside for 10 minutes, my hair looked like I’d stuck my head out the window of an airplane!

Danielle is actually a photographer back in Ohio: Ever After Imagery. We were extra honored to be shooting her wedding!

Yes, the father of the bride walked his daughter down the aisle while holding a Flip Camera. I can’t imagine who Danielle got her love of photography from! ;)

The wind got so bad during the ceremony that Danielle and Patrick had to switch places.

This was our first time shooting a wedding at the Polynesian’s Sunset Point. So pretty!

I love that “just married glow” that surrounds a couple after the wedding!

How was this our first time to shoot a bride and groom in a monorail?!

We ended at the Magic Kingdom monorail station for a few quick shots.

Nikki + Michael : Engagement

These two are extra special to us because they come from two past couples… Not only is Michael the best friend of Michael (of Nicole and Michael), but Nikki is Jason’s sister (of Dara and Jason).

When it came time for us to discuss locations for their engagement session, there was no other option in their minds than Disney’s Polynesian Resort, where Michael popped the question. It was quite the elaborate set-up involving Michael (our past groom) going to the Polynesian first and lighting candles and hiding out to take photos of the big moment. After a Downtown Disney movie date, Nikki asked to stop at Publix on the way home, but Michael insisted on stopping for a Dole Whip. The last thing Nikki expected was a proposal!

Before popping the question, Michael surprised Nikki with a comic book starring them that he spent hours and hours making. (Photo taken by the talented and stealthy Michael Snead, our past groom whom I hope to trick into joining us at weddings soon…)
