Jackie + Eddie : Up the Creek Farms Wedding in Malabar, Florida

Nate and I listed our home for sale in May of 2021. A few days later, I get a message from our past bride Amanda asking if we were selling our home. Her sister was looking for one in Winter Garden and thought she saw some familiar faces in photos on the walls. :)

Long story short, it sounds like Jackie was having a hard time finding a home (this was in peak crazy selling season!) and her mom encouraged her to up her budget a little bit. Mom ended up finding OUR home in her searching, telling Jackie, “see! The Roots’s home would have been a perfect fit, but now it’s under contract- you waited too long!”

Lucky for us, the stars aligned and that contract fell through. Jackie and Eddie ended up buying our home! I was *devastated* to move… Nate and I built it, choosing every cabinet, paint color, lighting fixture, and had the prettiest living room wallpaper. Even more than that, our good friend painted the most magical Small World nursery and it was truly a home I saw us in forever. I am so happy that it went to a couple that I know will love and care for it like we did, a pup Ace to fill the pup-size hole left by Huck, and (selfishly) we get to now visit someday!! This way, I don’t need to creepily knock on the door of a stranger or feel weird making slow drive-bys wondering what it looks like now. I can just call my friend Jackie and say, “HEY! Let’s have a BBQ. And by that I mean YOU need to have a BBQ and invite us over! And also can you please invite your family because we miss everybody.” <3

First things first for this wedding… 2023 seems to be the year of dogs at weddings and I could not be more here for it if I tried. Hi Ace!! <3

The wedding was held at Up the Creek Farms in Malabar, Florida. This venue was perfect for them: a *killer* getting ready suite, whimsical outdoor wedding ceremony site under majestic mossy trees, and just down the path, a rustic indoor reception venue with wooden beams. Everything was *right* there which ended up being incredibly convenient as we spent the day dodging rain drops!

Raquele + Garrett : Harry P. Leu Gardens Wedding

Raquele first found us through her sister who had a family session with Nate, and Taylor’s wedding we photographed. I can’t stress enough how lucky we are to have families like Taylor’s who pass us on to everyone they love! <3

Racquele and Garrett met in California. They dated long distance for a year and a half and grew together despite the distance. Their love of God, each other, and the outdoors were all beautifully on display at their wedding ceremony at Harry P. Leu Gardens.

Raquele and Garrett, it was an absolute honor!! Thank y’all for having us!! :)

Paige and Ernie : Blush by Brandee Gaar Wedding at Bella Collina Part I

PAIGE AND ERNIE ARE MARRIED!!!

Fun fact: Paige and Ernie got engaged at Walt Disney World. Shortly after the proposal, Ernie was making small talk with a PhotoPass photographer and asked if they knew of any good Orlando wedding photographers. This person sent them to us and they ended up booking!! Ahh! I wish I knew their name so I could send a thank you note or give a big hug or high five! We are so thankful, so if you happen to be reading this, THANK YOU! <3

It felt like we waited forever for this day to arrive!! I’ve been stalking Ernie’s Instagram since Nate told me he has an account for his Disney park photography! (You should totally go follow him.) He and Paige were a match made in marching band history and their day was full of love, friends who adore them, excellent jumpers, and one particularly impressive triangle performance by Ernie’s best man at the reception! ;)

We had such a wonderful team of friends making this day happen! I love that when 2019 began, we’d never met Jess of Blush by Brandee Gaar, and now two weddings in, we can’t wait to work with her smiling face again in February! They were married at Bella Collina, my favorite Orlando wedding venue, Jim from FyerFly kept the dance floor packed, and this was the first wedding our pal Kim tried her hand at videography! Nate and I were smiling from the moment we picked up our cameras until we went to bed feeling like we’d made two great new friends. <3
