Lauren + Spencer = Hudson

Oh, Hudson. <3

I have to admit, between charming Hudson and sweet Asher, my fear of baby boys is quickly disappearing! We were so excited for this family session after shooting Lauren’s maternity session, especially since both were some of our first photo sessions in Nashville. It’s kinda fun to work in your hometown every now and again. ;)

Lauren and Spencer were such naturals at this parenting thing… You’d think Hudson was their fifth baby- not their 1st. :)

We can’t forget big brother Franklin!

What is it about guys holding babies?! Love this.

Two more reasons to love Lauren… Her son has been nicknamed “Hud the stud,” and this amazing red chair. :)

Nicci + Justin : Engagement

I first met Nicci ages ago when Nate and I were dating; they’d been friends for years. Nicci’s family even sold Nate his first car! :) When Nicci and Justin asked us to shoot their engagement photos, I was so excited, especially when they asked to do it in Nashville. As luck would have it, I came down with the worst flu ever and actually had to sit this one out. Lucky for us, our “office elf” was able to step in and save the day. Nate wasn’t feeling too hot, either, so I’m so thankful Lorie was able to help him out while I nearly died on our living room couch. :)

Nicci and Justin, thank you for being so sweet to Nate and I promise I’ll be there for the big day! :)

Christie + Alex : Engagement

When we were in the 7th grade, my best friend Kolby thought Alex was the dreamiest guy in the world. He was best friends with both of our big brothers, and he really had it all: Cute smile, he could do an actual back flip, and best of all, he would acknowledge me when we were in the same room (a trait that truly only little sisters of high school brothers notice!) Ok, so maybe I had a little crush on Alex, too… ;)

When Christie emailed and told us she was engaged to THE Alex and that they’d be able to come to Nashville for a session, the 7th grader inside of me got so excited. When we first saw each other, I’m pretty sure I shouted, “Oh my gosh, Alex, you’re all grown up!” I mean, the last time I remember seeing Alex, my big brother “accidentally” flew his model plane into Alex’s mom. Her face, to be exact.

Needless to say, we’re all grown up. And Alex is in love, with a beauty named Christie, who I’m now equally smitten with. I mean… This girl knows how to work a camera!

It was Nate and my first session in downtown Nashville, and we were like kids in a candy shop! Luckily Christie and Alex were up for anything. :)

Christie claims to be an air traffic controller, but I think she models. I mean, seriously…

I love how they love. <3 Favorite!

We were standing in an alley taking photos when I happened to glance a the wall I was leaning on and read this! How perfect is that? I’d love to know the story behind that one. :)

New Jensey rule : If we see a mural painting of a baby llama, we’re gonna make you kiss in front of it. :)

Alex and Christie, thank you so, so much for everything. We truly hope to see y’all again soon! :)
