Sammy + Shannon = Hannah + Selah II

November 23, 2010 by Jensey 3 Comments

Continued from yesterday’s post!

Part two of this session took place around our home in downtown Celebration. :)

Do you see Selah commentating the game on the right? :)

Unprompted and fabulous. :)

Group hug!

I believe Sammy asked them which was the evil sister. :)

Not only did we find a tree with a hand growing out of it…

But it had a face, too! Amazing. :)

My faaaaaavorite! :)

My only regret from this session was not getting a photo of me with the group! Next time. :) Anyway, Sammy, Shannon, Hannah, and Selah- I love all of you to the moon and back again. Let’s not make it so long between visits next time. :)

And because I have to shamelessly plug my incredibly talented friends just one more time-

To buy cds from Sammy’s group, Return 2 Zero, you can order them here (“Snowfall” remains one of my favorite holiday albums of all time!).

To learn more about Return 2 Zero (or book them for your wedding, *hint hint*), you can find more information here.

And don’t forget to check in tomorrow for Jensey’s Favorite Things! It’s a good one. Really. :)

Sammy + Shannon = Hannah + Selah

November 22, 2010 by Jensey 9 Comments

I find that the closer I am to a couple, the harder it is to write the post. But seeing as how I’ve pushed these guys toward the end of Family Month, I can’t stall any longer! As much as I wanna say, “I’ll just let the pictures do the talking,” I can’t, because first you have to understand how incredibly awesome this family is. :)

God brought Sammy and Shannon to me in my darkest days. I have no doubt that we were meant to be friends, and these guys really took me in as part of their family. My favorite memories in Orlando (the non- Nate ones, anyway) all took place with these two by my side, and it breaks my heart that we’re not as close as we used to be. (I’m completely to blame there!) I will always have a huge place in my heart for this family, and Sammy and Shannon will always be my dream siblings. They are the beautiful faces behind God’s House Orlando, “The most loving church in Orlando.” My avid Disney readers should recognize Sammy from the kick-ass a cappella group, Four for a Dollar, that used to open for the Beauty and the Beast show at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. Sad face.

I owe so much to these kids- Even if we shot a million family sessions it wouldn’t be enough! Anyway, without further ado, meet the most loving family in Orlando!

Sammy isn’t the only performer in the family- The whole group sings. We were shooting away when they broke into a spontaneous chorus of “Don’t Stop Believin’.” In perfect pitch, I might add. I’m still hoping for a family album to be released. ;)

Yeah… Selah’s totally shy- Can’t you tell?

The last time I’d seen Hannah, she was close to the age Selah is now. They’re growing up so fast- And so gorgeous! Before I know it, we’ll be shooting Hannah’s wedding. ;)

These next three are my favorites- I wish I had ones like this with my sister when I was this age. :)

Selah is all Sammy. I love it. :)

My favorite photo of my favorite family. This one’s framed in our house. :)

Unfortunately the end of their session was rained out so, gosh darn it, we had to resume the fun a few weeks later. :) Those photos to come tomorrow! In the meantime…

Tricia + Chris = Katie + Declan

November 19, 2010 by Jensey 9 Comments

Tricia contacted us farther out to photograph her family than most brides do when planning their wedding! I was so excited to meet her and her family that came all the way from Nova Scotia for their Walt Disney World vacation. We photographed their family session around Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. :)

Tricia is so sweet with her kids.

One of my favorites!

How cute is Tricia’s dress? They look like a Lilly Pulitzer catalog family. :)

In 10 years, we fully expect Declan to become our photo assistant!

Not bad, Declan!

This one needs to be on canvas above the fireplace. :)

When Katie wasn’t feeling up for photos anymore, Declan stepped in with a tickle fight… Or a shove? Either way… :)

It’s not a family session at the Boardwalk until you rent a surrey!

The end! :)
