Lisa + Minh : Lakeland, Florida Elopement

If you’ve followed along with our work for a while, there should be one thing you know for certain:

We have a special place in our hearts for elopements!

Getting an email from Lisa one week out asking Nate to photograph her elopement to Minh made our hearts so, so full. There were only 7 guests: their immediate family and officiant, the one and only sparkly Pastor Crystal!

I think these photos perfectly capture the joy, intimacy, and emotion in elopements that made us fall in love with them all over again. <3

Lauren + Brett : Winter Park Covid-19 Elopement

When Lauren and Brett’s wedding plans came to a halt during the pandemic, they decided to elope and have a bigger wedding in the future. They were married in the downtown Winter Park rose garden, which also happens to be where they had their first date! <3

Krista + Kenny : Lake County Courthouse Elopement

I love that we never know how our couples will find us.

Maybe it’s a phone call from my Mom to Capitol One Card Services that ends up in a session booking, and this time, it was a brief ride on a safari truck!

Yep-When we boarded our safari truck to photograph Jenna and Liam’s wedding portraits on the savannah, I was seated by Krista, the cast member assigned to our group. We made small talk on the brief ride to and from the savannah, and I found out Krista was newly engaged and likely planning a wedding up north. As I was getting off the truck, she asked for our card, and I assumed we’d never see each other again.

Just a couple months later and we got an email from Krista saying she and her fiance, Kenny, would be eloping at the Lake County Courthouse and wanted some portraits after their ceremony. There’s such a special energy associated with elopements and they’re my favorite thing to photograph, and always make me think of our wedding day. <3

Krista and Kenny, we had a wonderful time getting to know you both and wish you the happiest ever after! :)
