Jennifer + Kristopher : Wedding Part II

June 22, 2011 by Jensey 10 Comments

Continued from Jennifer and Kristopher’s Wedding Part I

Shooting a wedding for someone you know has a very distinct feel to the day. It’s always fun to already know the key players and see how they are in the spotlight, how they act with their significant other… It’s even more special to meet their families and I’m 70% more likely to tear up during the ceremony and toasts. :)

Jennifer graciously allowed us to help with her wedding time line, so we had tons of time for photos around the Celebration Golf Club.

My favorite kind of light. :)

The second cutest couple at the party- These two were snuggling all night. :)

The most random, wonderful thing ever- We met Brian! Our first meeting went a little something like this: “Hi, I’m Nathan. No, wait, I’m Brian, you’re Nathan. Oh, crap, now you know I know who you are.” I was so over the moon that one of Jennifer’s guests is an avid blog stalker that my head nearly didn’t fit in the car on the way home. ;) Oh, and did I mention he specifically requested to be in our mirror shot?! I love this guy.

I love you guys. :)

I often suggest this to our brides: While their amazing DJ, Joe Magic, lined the guests up outside and distributed sparklers for the grand exit, Jennifer and Kristopher enjoyed a dance alone in their empty reception hall. It’s such a sweet way to soak in the last few minutes of your wedding day and have a moment alone… You know… Except me for part of it. :)

Loooooooooooooooooooove! :)

Jennifer and Kristopher, we honestly love you! Please, please let’s keep in touch and catch up soon! :)

Jennifer + Kristopher : Wedding Part I

June 21, 2011 by Jensey 2 Comments

When Jennifer and I met, we were practically babies working in Fantasyland. I started working there when I was in college during the Walt Disney World College Program. Since my family moved to Celebration the month my program ended, I ended up staying and working in Fantasyland the next two years as a part time Cast Member. I’ll never forget how lonely it felt the week all the friends I’d made from my internship were gone; it was as if I’d gotten a whole new job with all new co-workers. It was darn right depressing, which is why the day I met smiley Jennifer, it was like the sky opened up and I could enjoy my job again! We bonded over our love of Disney, the fact that both our families lived in Celebration, and how in loooooove we were with our then-boyfriends!

Sure enough, Jenn and I lost touch and found each other again through the magic of Facebook (seriously, what the heck did people do before Facebook?!), and I was honored to photograph her wedding day. Who woulda thought, way back when we met, that someday I’d be shooting her wedding?!

We started the day in Celebration, at Jennifer’s parent’s home where she got ready. We were quickly greeted by some familiar faces:

Yay color!

Jennifer was gooooorgeous. And I’m not gonna lie, she totally knew it. :)

We photographed Jenn and her girls outside of the Celebration Hotel for a bit.

Jennifer and Kristopher’s wedding was held at the Celebration Golf Club. :)

All of the floral and decorations (and fish!) were created by our buddy Joe Magic’s wife, Michelle, at Orlando Event Pros.

Kristopher’s reaction to Jennifer’s walk down the aisle- Priceless. :)

Woohoo! Part two up next. :)

Ellie : Portrait

June 14, 2011 by Jensey 6 Comments

John Thomas was the first baby we ever photographed (aside from siblings, of course!) His sweet momma, Misty, had heard of us through some friends whose wedding we photographed and we did his one year old portraits around Winter Park. This was right around when I was just starting to blog, so I apparently never blogged his first session! You long time followers may remember the session we did with him in downtown Celebration a year or two later, when we lucked out and happened to be photographing him when they were testing for the Celebration Snowfall.

As I was saying, we’ve loved shooting John Thomas through the years. When his mom asked us to photograph their daughter, Ellie, we were over the moon! I mean…. Just look at that face!

Those blonde curls and blue eyes… I’m in love!

She even naturally did a “foot pop”!

John Thomas adores his little sister. He got so excited when we asked him to walk with her for photos…

Not even gonna lie, these are some of my favorites- Such a real “moment” between siblings! (No babies were harmed in the making of these photos!!)

She looooooooooooooooved the water! Misty, I hope you order one of these in a giant canvas! ;)

Nothing makes me swoon more than Nate with a baby. True story. (He’s giving her a penny to toss in!)

Another favorite!

As much as Ellie’s momma loves hats, Ellie does not!

Though she loves giving sticks!

I’ve loved watching this kid grow up!

But I love seeing this even more! ;)

Misty, thank you so much for letting us spend time with your cute family! I can’t wait til next time. :)
