Sarah + Chris : St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church Wedding and Rosen Shingle Creek Reception

About, oh, 6 1/2 years ago, I asked my little sister what she wanted for her birthday, and she said a photo session. She’s been one of our biggest supporters from the beginning and she’s always loved having her photo taken, so this was nothing new- Except, this year, she wanted it with her sorority roommates. Ohhhhh, great, I thought, an hour with girls I have absolutely nothing in common with… But then a funny thing happened- I met them and loved all of them and was genuinely jealous of the crowd my sister was keeping in college!

Within the last few years, Nate and I had the incredible honor of photographing all of my little sister’s gorgeous roommates. All of them. Sarah was the last piece to the puzzle, which is why I shared that story! :)

Sarah’s day started out in the most adorable way possible- Her flower girl niece just chillin’ in her wedding gown. :)

One more fun story about Sarah: When my sister told her roommate I was a wedding photographer, Sarah went to our site and spotted herself in one of our photos- She was a guest at one of our old featured weddings! How funny is that? :)

Then it was off to Rosen Shingle Creek for the reception!

Did I mention that Chris was a total trooper that day?!

Emily + Matt : Harriet Himmel Theatre Wedding in West Palm Beach, Florida

This is Emily, my little sister’s best friend’s big sister. Got it?

We first met Emily and Matt at Cata and Ryan’s wedding, were we took this photo. :) And then we met up for a nearly rained out engagement session around Winter Park’s Rollins College campus, where you can see photos here!

Emily and Matt got ready at the luxurious Colony Palm Beach.

Matt gave Emily ~3 cards on their wedding day, starting with the funny one and ending with, well, this one. :)

I love all three of these women! Stephanie, Emily’s little sister on the right, is just as silly as she is sweet. Emily is classy and kind, and just the teacher I’d want for my someday kids! It’s no surprise that I also loved the woman who raised them the second I met their mom. :) This whole dressing series is my favorite!

On to West Palm Beach’s Harriet Himmel Theater, one of the coolest wedding venues we’ve seen. :)

Emily is as in love with her nephew as I am with mine– With that face, who could blame her?!

While they flipped the ceremony room for the reception, the cocktail hour took place upstairs.

Emily is our bagillionth Alpha Delta Pi bride, and I think this photo perfectly depicts the “angry fists” part of their sorority song that happens at every ADPi wedding. :)

While their guests got ready for the sparkler exit, Emily and Matt had a private last dance before the night was over. This was Nate’s view-

Sarah + Chris : Baldwin Park Engagement Session

I first met Sarah when she was my sister’s roommate in their sorority house. She was silly, sweet, and a seemingly good influence on my baby sister. Years later, she’s happily engaged to a great guy, and it makes my heart happy. Especially because she asked us to be her wedding photographers! So excited for November. :)

We did their session throughout Baldwin Park, a place that has special meaning to them as a couple. Sarah literally giggled her way through the session, which made this one of the easiest sessions we’ve ever gotten to shoot!

I mean seriously- Good light? Check! Gorgeous couple? Check! :)

Sarah, I cannot wait to see you in white!!!! Thank you Chris for being so easy going- We’ll see y’all before you know it! :)
