Adriana + Stephen : Engagement
Adriana knew Stephen was going to propose soon, but since he still wanted it to kind of be a surprise, he had a plan: Stephen told Adriana that he’d take her on a few mini vacations, so she wouldn’t know where they were going, or when he’d pop the question. He ended up proposing the morning of their first trip, at Alexander Homestead Bed and Breakfast, located in the heart of St. Augustine. We started their engagement photos right there on the front porch. :)
Then we hit the streets to find some more secret spots. :)
Adriana, I love your laugh face! <3
I love shooting in St. Augustine with all its colorful nooks and crannies!
Favorite! :)
Congrats, lovebirds! See you in March! :)
Lauren + Christian : Wedding
Lauren and Christian were married at Rosen Shingle Creek here in Orlando. :) We hadn’t been here in ages- Since Kelly and Mike’s wedding way back in the day! ;)
I loved Lauren’s “something blue!”
The candles wouldn’t light, so everyone improvised. :)
Can you believe all the bridesmaids are wearing the same dress?! Love it!
We only had less than 5 minutes to photograph the newlyweds, but I think we rocked it! :)
My favorite. :)
I loved all the hard work Lauren put into her details- Lauren and Christian live in Washington D.C., and the wedding had subtle nods to the city- The tables were named after past presidents and their amazing centerpieces looked like cherry blossom trees! Weren’t they gorgeous?!
I love Rosen Single Creek’s ballroom- Guests enjoy the cocktail hour on the balcony before heading downstairs for the reception. :)
Their first dance was to Michael Buble’s Lost.
The DJ led the way for the Electric Slide:
Love the one of Christian’s dad breaking it down!
I can’t believe I’m posting this- Here I’m channeling my inner Elaine and doing my best thumb dance for Nate! :)
Congrats, Lauren and Christian!! :)
Favorite Things!
Update: Voting is over and we have a winner! HUGE congrats to Lindsey, who said- “I love ‘em! They would be perfect in my kitchen, because they are WAY too cute to get dirty. Since I use my oven for storage, my kitchen would be the safest place in my house!”
Lindsey, send me your mailing address to favoritethings@rootweddings.com, and they’ll be on their way! :)
Thanks, everyone, for entering -I really wish I had 39 things to give out to all 39 of you! See you July 24th! <3
Happy Jensey’s Favorite Things day!! If you were here on the 24th of last month, you saw our very first Jensey’s Favorite Things post. This month, I’m giving away… *drumroll*… Anthropologie dish towels! The description on the website is as follows: “They fell in love, they got married, and they lived happily ever after – a sweet tale told atop this trio of embroidered linens.” Seriously, they’re the cutest dish towels I’ve ever seen and are perfect for newlyweds, or soon-to-be newlyweds!
I know you want ’em! Well, all you have to do is comment and tell me! After 24 hours, I’ll pick a winner and update my post. That person then has 24 hours to send me their address to claim their prize, or I’ll pick another winner. Get it? Good.
