An oldie but a goodie. :)
Adrianna + Zach : Wedding
Ever since we met Adriana and Zach in our home office, we were looking forward to their wedding day. Around the time Adrianna was looking for a wedding photographer, she was sent our way by a co-worker (Hi, Jen!) Right about the same time, they got the same suggestion from a past groomsman from one of our weddings a couple years ago. :) Adrianna and Zach both work at a wedding location here in Orlando, but decided to make their day special by picking a fresh location. I’m so glad they did, as we love working at Casa Feliz!
I loved Adrianna’s simple gown against Casa Feliz’s intricate background, and her Badgley Mischka shoes were stunning!
Adrianna was finishing getting dressed just minutes before their ceremony started, but she was still boiling over with excitement. :)
Love Nate’s view on the right!
Adrianna and Zach walked back down the aisle after picking up a special passenger- Their daughter, Mia! :)
As much as I don’t love group photos, I love catching these in-between moments. :)
SO STINKIN’ CUTE!!
Their wedding day was the day before Easter, and it made me so happy that every detail was bursting with Spring colors. :)
One of her many details- This was a hand-made ornament that they’ll use for their Christmas tree every year to follow! One side had A+Z, and the other, their wedding date. <3
2nd favorite. :)
I don’t know that we’ve ever had a bride as nervous in front of the camera as Adrianna was at the beginning of her engagement session. It made me so happy that she was completely comfortable in front of us on their wedding day! :)
FAVORITE! Mia may just be the cutest baby ever. :)
When our couples ask us for vendor recommendations, Joe Magic is always on the list! He’s not only a DJ, but he goes table to table and performs magic tricks to entertain your guests. We loooooove working with him! :)
The guests just eat him up, and we get reactions like this! :)
Zach surprised Adrianna with a photo booth at the wedding. :)
Adrianna and Zack, thank you so much for letting us capture your day!! Can’t wait for your next family session! ;)

Christy + Mike : Engagement
When Christy and Mike met, the stars were aligned perfectly to put them in the right place at the right time: Christy’s car was in the shop, so she jumped on the shuttle to get to class that Mike always took. She made eye contact with Mike and was immediately intrigued by his “black eye-liner, pink eye shadow, hot pink razor phone and iPod shuffle, lip ring, and chin-length black hair.” She kinda put him out of her head since he was so far away, but as he stood up to get off at her stop, Mike complimented Christy on her eye-make up. The rest of the story involves her running through a parking lot to bump into him again, and then happily finding out he was indeed, straight. :) I love that part the most, because when I first met Nate, I thought he was possibly gay, too. (A single, straight, attractive photographer who was paying me attention? Comeon!)
My favorite part about Christy and Mike’s story of how they met is that Mike had a girl friend named SiQi (pronounced See Kay), and Christy’s initials are “CK.” Christy’s boyfriend at the time was David, and Mike’s nickname is Davey. As Christy says, “So, that’s why we say that the universe was sending us signals. We just got them a little crossed. That is, until October 31, 2007 at 3:45 pm!”
When it came time to do their engagement session, Christy knew she wanted their photos taken around St. Augustine. But after finding out about their mutual love of Calvin and Hobbes (my all time favorite comic- a love I have thanks to my late grandfather), it was quickly decided to try to work in some iconic Calvin and Hobbes moments into their shoot. Now, if you know anything about Calvin and Hobbes, you know it’s a comic strip about a young boy and his stuffed tiger, Hobbes. Not exactly a grown man and woman in love. ;) I did my homework, though, and showed up with some of the more well known moments from Calvin and Hobbes on my iPhone to hopefully inspire us along the shoot. :)
Intermixed with Christy and Mike’s engagement photos, I’ve thrown in my favorite quotes from Calvin and Hobbes (masterfully written and illustrated by one of my heroes, Bill Watterson!)
“If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I’ll bet they’d live a lot differently.”
“Hobbes: ‘Do you think there’s a God?’ Calvin: ‘Well, SOMEBODY’S out to get me.’”
“It seems like once people grow up, they have no idea what’s cool.”
“There is not enough time to do all the nothing we want to do.”
“Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.”
(Photo taken by us, masterfully edited by one of Christy and Mike’s friends!)
“Know what’s weird? Day by day, nothing seems to change. But pretty soon, everything’s different.”

I love, love, love, love my husband. :)
“If your knees aren’t green by the end of the day, you ought to seriously re-examine your life.”
“I think we dream so we don’t have to be apart so long. If we’re in each other’s dreams, we can play together all night.” – Bill Watterson
Well, *I* think we did a pretty good job capturing the essence of all Christy, Mike, Calvin, and Hobbes… What do you think? :)
