Promo : Christmas in July!

July 14, 2011 by Nathan 1 Comment

Yes, that’s Huck frozen in the snow and yes, it’s that time of summer again! Starting Monday the 18th, we’ll be kicking off our not-quite-annual-but-pretty-much Christmas in July promotion! It’ll last until Friday the 22nd at 11:59pm EST. So head on over to your proofing gallery and get working on a shopping list. :) (And if your gallery isn’t currently active, just leave a comment and we’ll post it for you.)

You’re probably curious what the sale will actually include, huh? We’re keeping it simple and offering 35% off all print orders over $35 in value. Easy, right? :) (That includes canvas wraps too!)

We ran this second promotion once before and people seemed to love it, so we’re bringing it back. If you purchase twenty-five or more 4×6″s (and only 4×6″s!), we’ll include duplicate prints at the time of shipping. (Which means the duplicates won’t show up in your cart.)

So, just to recap:

+ 35% off orders $35 or more!

+ Complimentary duplicates for orders only including 4×6″ prints (25 or more)!

+ Even though we haven’t announced it yet (except for right here), we’re extending our Tennessee promotion!

We’ll be sure to post reminders on Facebook and Twitter in the coming days. As always, please leave a comment if you have any questions. :)

Inspiration Board : Runway the Real Way

July 13, 2011 by Lorie 6 Comments

There’s no denying that I love high fashion.  It’s an art form that a handful of people create and only a few can master, and design wise, it influences every aspect of our lives– interior décor, tv shows (yay for Project Runway’s July 28th return!), magazines, etc.

The only downside is that, like fine art, Vogue-worthy designers aren’t exactly affordable to the masses. So today, I’m doing a Look for Less-style inspiration board.  Remember that show Elizabeth Hasselbeck hosted before The View?  Her picks were sometimes questionable, but her perky personality always left a bless-her-heart smile on my face. :)

To show you just how easy it can be to find affordable alternatives, I’ve chosen two designer looks hot off the Resort 2012 runways that cost up to several thousand dollars and created options whose price tags don’t include a comma. ;) Whether you have an engagement shoot, portrait session, or family shoot coming up, consider looking to the runways for a bit of inspiration. :)

Moschino for Less : Cardigan ($29),  Skirt ($39), Sandals ($65), Sunglasses ($10)

DSquared2 for Less :  Shorts ($32),  Shirt ($98),  Belt ($48), Sunglasses ($98)

Louise + Spencer : Wedding

July 12, 2011 by Jensey 11 Comments

Louise and Spencer’s wedding day was a dream- We love intimate weddings, so when Louise told us only her parents, brother, and Spencer’s friend would be at the ceremony, I was in love. Louise got ready in her room at Disney’s Contemporary Resort which had quite the view of my favorite castle. :)

Oh, hello there! :)

When I first saw Louise’s custom hangar, I thought it was made with the incorrect wedding date; then I remembered in the UK, they switch the month and date. ;)

Louise went with our suggestion of using Patricia LeJeune as her hair and make-up artist, and we’re so happy she did. :)

Louise and Spencer did a quick first look before wedding time.

Louise and Spencer’s Sea Breeze Point ceremony was so charming and intimate.

Looooooooooooooooooved the cake. :)

While I felt awful for them that the weather was so humid and uncomfortable, we loved the full hour of portraits Louise arranged for us to have after the ceremony. :) My favorites!

I love our secret spot! Nothing about this feels like Disney property. ;)

My very, very close second favorite. Louise, this needs to be on canvas in your home!

We parted ways after our photo shoot and met up a few hours later at Disney’s Grand Floridian’s Sago Cay for their fireworks dessert party. I loved the lanterns they had hanging from the trees!

Louise and Spencer, thanks for being so wonderful to work with! Hope to see you sometime in your neck of the woods. :)

Louise + Spencer : Engagement

July 11, 2011 by Jensey 1 Comment

Louise and Spencer traveled all the way across the pond to get married at Walt Disney World. Instead of doing their engagement session at one of the Disney resorts, Louise wanted something a little different and we knew they’d be a great fit for downtown Orlando. :)

My favorites:

Love that green wall!

Louise, you’re adorable. :)

Their wedding photos to come tomorrow! :)
