Kimberly + Mark : St. Thomas Marriott Frenchman’s Reef Wedding Part I

Continued from Kimberly and Mark’s Yum Yum Truck Engagement Session AND their engagement session aboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas. :)

Kimberly and Mark decided to have their ceremony at Marriott Frenchman’s Reef Resort on St. Thomas. There were so many unknowns going into the wedding day and Kimberly was amazing and we never once saw her sweat it…. Even though we only had a certain amount of time to get off the boat, get cabs to the Marriott, check into the hotel, have hair and make-up done for Kimberly and her bridesmaids, get married, then take cabs back to the boat before “all aboard” time. Even when the cab got a flat tire. (More on that lovely story later!)

See? Only real smiles. She’s my favorite. :)

Randomly enough, this was actually our second wedding at Marriott Frenchman’s Reef. Our first was Julie and Christopher’s wedding!

Kimberly had these adorable shoes picked out but opted for true-to-her Sperry boat shoes instead. I love her even more for it!

Kimberly had some of my all time favorite “getting ready” photos. She was just so darn excited!! :)

Kimberly’s dad couldn’t make it to the wedding, but he was there every step of the day via iPad. Nate was helping hold it here so her dad could see all the girls at once. :)

My #2, #3, and #4 favorite getting ready shots below. First, we have Kimberly excitedly slipping into her wedding dress using her self-proclaimed “t-rex hands.” Swooooooooooon!

My mom gave me away over the phone, so Kimberly’s “iPad Dad” put a lump in my throat for sure. :)

As I mentioned earlier, this was our second time photographing a ceremony at Marriott Frenchman’s Reef. So weird because in a few short years, the ceremony site changed so much!

Kimberly unraveled her personal vows to Mark. <3

And then they literally “tied the knot.”

Kimberly + Mark : Oasis of the Seas Engagement Session

Do you remember that time we photographed this wonderfully adorable engagement session? (If not, you can click the photo below for a refresher course!)

Well, that was the charming Kimberly and Mark, a couple that lived a block or so away from us in Celebration for years and we never met. Did I mention she’s also a wedding photographer and fellow lover of tiny dogs? :)

Kimberly and Mark brought us along on their 7-day Royal Caribbean adventure aboard the Oasis of the Seas. The Oasis of the Seas is the second largest cruise ship in the world, second only to her sister ship, the Allure of the Seas. Nate and I had a crazy fall wedding season and were so looking forward to this forced disconnect!

A couple days before their wedding on St. Thomas, Kimberly and Mark were up at dawn for some more engagement photos around an empty cruise ship. :)

We started shooting on the top deck, only to realize the wind was a bit unruly. Thank you Kimberly, for being such a great sport!!

That’s better. :)

Yep, this boat has it all- Even a carousel. And a zipline. Did I mention there’s a wave pool and skating rink, too? :)

When we were done with the Boardwalk section of the ship, it was off to Central Park!

I love Kimberly going along with my crazy suggestions.. “Pretend like you lost! Pretend like you won!” :)

Their wedding day at the Marriott Frenchman’s Reef on St. Thomas is not a blog to miss- Trust me on this! Until tomorrow…

Lorie + Jon : Three Years!

Three years ago today, our best friends exchanged vows under a magical acacia tree in Tanzania, Africa. We still haven’t gotten around to editing all of our trip photos- How sad is that?! Until I eventually do a week long blog dedication to our African adventure, you can relive Lorie and Jon’s love story through the blog links below. :) Happy anniversary, kiddos!!
