The Huck Finn blog love continues this week with his little boot kicks. Swoooooooon! <3
Amanda + Jeff : Disney Yacht and Beach Club Engagement Session
We received Amanda’s first inquiry on September 6th at 10:40pm, which Amanda later told us was approximately 15 minutes after browsing the DISboards. Another bride had mentioned she was hoping to get married in early December 2015. Amanda knew she needed to lock us in for her wedding date and wrote without first telling Jeff- (Thank you random Disney bride!)
They’re both cast members (Jeff even works in my old work home!), are self-proclaimed Disney nerds, love Disneyland more than the Magic Kingdom, and are hoping for a winter wedding theme. So basically we had absolutely nothing to talk about and the session was totally awkward and I didn’t leave kicking myself for not inviting them to Epcot for dinner with us after! ;)
Amanda and Jeff, thank you so much for being so wonderful and easy to photograph. I genuinely look forward to your wedding but hope to see you again before then! :)
I love finding secret spots at resorts! :)
This time next year, these guys will be married right here! <3
The epitome of Christmas in Orlando- Short sleeves and poinsettias, and Santa hats on a beach! :)
Amanda and Jeff, happy pre-anniversary month and we can’t wait to see you next year! :)
Tiffiny + Mitch : Orlando, Florida Wedding Preview
I can’t believe we just photographed our last Disney wedding of the year! :(
Tiffiny, you’re gorgeous.
These guys had so many personal touches to their day, my favorite being an “ear exchange” after their ring exchange. :)
Rain caused these guys to move their ceremony to a backup location, but with a backup location like this, how can you complain?!
This turtle kindly waited until Nate had his camera settings juuuust right to make an appearance. :)
One of my favorites of the whole year- What a way to wrap up 2014!! Tiffiny and Mitch, have a great rest of your honeymoon and we’ll be in touch with the rest next year! <3
Huckleberry Finn turns TEN!
We knew shortly after Huck’s attack that it wasn’t a matter of *if* his little blind eye would have to be removed, but *when.* We were instructed to watch it closely and see if he started pawing at it to show that it bothered him, and for the past few years, there was no issue. But after a couple occurrences this year of it turning blood red when he’d get worked up about something, it really started to make me uncomfortable. After a quick reassurance from our trusted vet that the procedure is not only ridiculously simple, but the healing process is too, we decided to make it happen. So while Huck was out for a routine teeth cleaning we had our vet remove the eye, too.
I was amazed at how quickly Huck was back to his normal, sassy self, and how quickly he healed- Huck didn’t even need a cone!
So today, our little Huckleupagus turns 10. A decade! He’s been with me for the entirety of my adult life, and I can’t imagine any other dog putting up with our long work hours and crazy travel schedule the past four years have brought. Yes, he’s a bit of a loner, but puts up with my Elvira-level of cuddling and always reminds us to feed him when we’re clocking long days in the office. :)
Huckleberry Finn, I don’t care if this post makes the world cringe or if the neighbors raised their brows when we did a little photo shoot with you and a giant Mike Wazowski balloon in the front yard. We love you too, too much and are so thankful for the joy you’ve brought to our lives. And since you can’t read and don’t know what “birthday” means, I’ll just give you extra snuggles and a couple marshmallows. :) HAPPY TEN!
