Germantown, Tennessee Family Portrait Session in Oaklawn Gardens
I think I was about 7 when Kolby invited me to my first camping trip.. Kolby was the youngest child in her family, and a total tomboy after bring raised with her two older brothers in their hunting/ fishing/ camping loving home. At least once a year from our elementary to middle school years, I’d join Kolby, her brothers, their best friends, and her father on what would become some of my most glowing childhood memories.
This wasn’t your state-park-with-toilets-and-
So many of the most important memories from my childhood were with this family, and Kolby was my first friend and still remains my oldest friend. I’ve watched her grow from the cutest freckle-faced five year old to the incredible woman and mother she is today. Though our visits are few and far between and I don’t pick up the phone nearly as often as I should, I’m so thankful that Kolby has remained such a dear friend. I so wish we lived closer, but it just makes the few visits we do get that much more special.

Kevin and Cheri were truly my second parents growing up, and their marriage was the one I most admired. Their home was always open to me. Their backyard had a trampoline *and* a swing set, and most importantly, their fridge was always stocked with Dr. Pepper and Kool-Aid. :) I never feel as home as I do in that pineapple-stenciled kitchen! These 5 faces- These people are my childhood. <3

Pops and Cee-Cee with the six luckiest grandchildren in the world.

These giiiiiiirls! <3

Thank you for totally making this photo, Lilly! <3
Conways, I love you all more than I could ever express. Hope to do it again this year!!! :)

Sammy + Shannon : God’s House Orlando Session
When two gorgeous, talented dear friends ask if you can photograph them for a new music group they’ve started, you jump at the chance. Not only because it’s fun to catch up and take photos of friends from what seems like a past life now, but because with this particular session, we got a private concert out of the deal. :)
Whether these two are singing in church, in the Disney parks, or even Dickens carolers, they do everything with such passion and joy that you feel like every song you’re witnessing is the best song they’ve ever sang. They’re awesome, and you should go “like” Plus 1 on Facebook!
You can see some past sessions we’ve done with this family here and here. Thanks for asking us for this session, y’all- We can’t wait for the next one! :)

Ashley + Brian : Lake Buena Vista Orlando Wedding
I think this is the last of my really, really old ones- Well, at least the ones that took place over a year ago. ;)
You may remember Ashley and Brian’s session with their ridiculously adorable daughter, Ariella. We photographed their family around the Boardwalk last Christmas, and meeting the three of them, it was obvious we were in for a great wedding day! Ashley started her morning at the Boardwalk Inn, getting her hair and make-up done by rockstar stylist Kalie of About Face. We shot Kalie’s wedding yeeeeeears ago, and she’s one of the best hair and make-up talents in town. Book her!!

I love this one of Ashley’s and Ariella’s shoes and the sparkle they made on the wall. :)

Seriously. Go hire Kalie! :)

I loved the southern feel to Ashley and Ariella’s dresses! So much gorgeous lace.

I mean…… <3

Flower girls: The struggle is real!!
