Jennifer + Alan : Wedding

January 27, 2011 by Jensey 10 Comments

Jenn and Alan found us through past couple Jamie and Jason – Jamie was part of the match-making team behind setting up Jenn and Alan, and Jamie’s husband, Jason, happens to be Alan’s brother. Got it? Good. :)

They were married at the same Tampa church that Jamie and Jason were married – Bayside Community Church. I love how different it is- When you pull up, it looks like a large home (minus the huge cross, of course), but inside, there’s a full-size chapel!

I love when past brides are in the bridal party. (Jamie’s the one to the right of Jenn!)

Jenn was pretty much glowing!

The only thing better than having Root brides as bridesmaids? Having a Root groom as a groomsmen, as well! (Jason is to the right of Alan!)

Jennifer and Alan were amazing and scheduled plenty of time for photos around the University of Tampa’s campus. :)

Their reception was held in Tampa’s A La Carte Event Pavilion.

Favorite. :)

I’d completely forgotten about Jason’s mad dance skills!

Ben Daniele of Grant Hemond and and Associates kept the dance floor PACKED!

Sorry… I’m changing my favorite! One of my favorite mirror shots, ever. :)

The end. :)

Katie + Shandy : Celebration, FL Wedding

January 25, 2011 by Jensey 10 Comments

You guys should remember Katie and Shandy from our Orlando engagement session on our lovely website! If you don’t, you can revisit their session on the blog here. Katie and Shandy found us through Shandy’s cousin, Rainer of Simply Cinematic. In a “Small World” turn of events, Katie found out I grew up in Germantown, TN, and it turns out her cousins were my old neighbors. How crazy is that? Even more crazy is that her cousins ended up moving to Celebration, where we moved to, and we had no idea!

Moving on to the photos… We’ve been neglecting our mirror shots lately! :(

Two things I’m a total sucker for – Anything with a bow and curly hair!

FAVORITE!

Our wonderful friend, Patricia LeJeune, did Katie’s hair and make-up, and really brought out her natural beauty. :)

They shared a sweet “Non First Look.” :)

Katie and Shandy were among the first few couples to be married at the new Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Celebration, FL.

The fun continued at their wedding reception at the Celebration Golf Course. We had some time to shoot the newlyweds along Water Street. It was a little bittersweet having our first ever Celebration wedding just a few short months before we were moving. :( These photos were taken just two blocks from our old home!

Second favorite. :)

Some girls are just made to be brides!

My absolute favorite thing about their wedding day – They hired our would-have-been-if-we-didn’t-elope wedding DJ, M.J. Farb of Junction 88, and he told us they requested songs from our then-new website to be played during their cocktail hour! Swooooooooooooooooon! :)

Cutie patootie best man Ranier Flor of Simply Cinematic! :)

One of Katie’s bridesmaids, a dance instructor, choreographed their first dance to Jason Mraz and Colbie Calait’s “Lucky.” We didn’t know this until the wedding day, but Shandy is no stranger to break dancing. He was amazing!

Told ya!

Enjoy Simply Cinematic’s highlight trailer that Rainer’s team put together from the big day! Rainer, Shandy, and Katie, thank you so much for everything!!

Lindsey + Derrick : Wedding Part 2

January 21, 2011 by Jensey 7 Comments

Don’t read until you’ve finished Lindsey and Derrick : Part 1! It’s a good one. :)

We were all afraid it’d start pouring buckets minutes before the ceremony, but Lindsey wasn’t the least bit concerned. I’m pretty much convinced her good mood alone held off the rain! Sure enough, just as she started her walk down the aisle with Dad, the sprinkles stopped. :)

Words can’t express how much we loved the soft, even light provided by the canopy of trees at the Dixon Art Gallery. :)

Possibly my favorite two of the whole day – Nate grabbed these when Lindsey and Derrick were enjoying their first minute together after being pronounced man and wife. :)

Waiting to be announced into the reception :

Their sweet first dance was to “Our Love is Here to Stay.”

There wasn’t a dry eye when Derrick and Grayson danced their very own father / daughter dance to Amos Lee’s “Sweet Pea.”

Lindsey and Derrick, thank you for picking us. Can’t wait til our next family session! ;)

For all you Tennessee brides-to-be or friends of : We’re offering some serious promotions to our first few Tennessee weddings, so if you’re engaged and want us at your wedding, please contact us. We can’t wait to meet you! :)
