Erin + Rick : Welcome Party

July 18, 2011 by Jensey 13 Comments

It all started from a photo Nathan took of a hippo in Africa. We got an email from Erin saying she and our past bride Cassie saw this photo on our blog and it’s inspired the theme for her welcome party. Not only did he grace the invitations for the event, but he was lovingly named “Turo” and appeared in almost every detail. Meet Turo!

The custom cake topper Erin had made… Amazing down to the drool. ;)

Erin and Rick’s welcome dinner was held in the jaw-droppingly gorgeous Asante Suite at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. I felt like I was right back in Africa, except with a TV. And air conditioning. ;)

More adorable details :)

Each of her guests left with a custom Turo- I was totally jealous!

Love the view. :)

If you thought those details were amazing, just wait ’til their wedding coming up tomorrow! :)

Louise + Spencer : Wedding

July 12, 2011 by Jensey 11 Comments

Louise and Spencer’s wedding day was a dream- We love intimate weddings, so when Louise told us only her parents, brother, and Spencer’s friend would be at the ceremony, I was in love. Louise got ready in her room at Disney’s Contemporary Resort which had quite the view of my favorite castle. :)

Oh, hello there! :)

When I first saw Louise’s custom hangar, I thought it was made with the incorrect wedding date; then I remembered in the UK, they switch the month and date. ;)

Louise went with our suggestion of using Patricia LeJeune as her hair and make-up artist, and we’re so happy she did. :)

Louise and Spencer did a quick first look before wedding time.

Louise and Spencer’s Sea Breeze Point ceremony was so charming and intimate.

Looooooooooooooooooved the cake. :)

While I felt awful for them that the weather was so humid and uncomfortable, we loved the full hour of portraits Louise arranged for us to have after the ceremony. :) My favorites!

I love our secret spot! Nothing about this feels like Disney property. ;)

My very, very close second favorite. Louise, this needs to be on canvas in your home!

We parted ways after our photo shoot and met up a few hours later at Disney’s Grand Floridian’s Sago Cay for their fireworks dessert party. I loved the lanterns they had hanging from the trees!

Louise and Spencer, thanks for being so wonderful to work with! Hope to see you sometime in your neck of the woods. :)

Laurie + David : Preview

July 2, 2011 by Jensey 2 Comments

Laurie and David were married last weekend in Chicago. They were gracious enough to do a “first look,” which gave us plenty of time for photos around the city before the ceremony. Our first stop? Wrigley Field!

Faaaaaaaaaaaaavorite! :)

Their wedding was held at the luxurious Elysian hotel.

Laurie, a designer, planned all this herself. Everything was absolutely stunning!

David shared the sweetest father/daughter dance with his gorgeous daughter, Rayna.

Laurie and David, have an amazing time in Italy!
