Tara + Matt : Wedding Part I

March 6, 2012 by Jensey 5 Comments

Tara and Matt’s wedding was scheduled for a toasty August afternoon, so when the morning started out a bit overcast, we were thankful for the break in the heat! We didn’t meet Tara and Matt until their wedding day, but they were just as sweet as they came across in their emails. :)

We started the day at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, where Tara and Matt were getting ready.

When we arrived, Patricia LeJeune was just finishing up turning already pretty Tara to bride Tara. :)

One of my favorite first looks to date. Read more about our thoughts on this special moment here!

Matt’s tie was amazing- He said after looking in every men’s suit store around, Marshall’s ended up being the place to find that perfect finishing touch.

Have you spotted Tara’s “hidden Mickey” yet?

I honestly have no idea what’s going on here, but I’m in love, regardless! ;)

About two minutes before their outdoor Sea Breeze Point ceremony at Disney’s Boardwalk, this happened.

Sure enough, the ceremony started and rain disappeared. :)

Favorite. :)

Tara and Matt had my favorite recessional music to date – “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” from The Carousel of Progress. Disney wedding or not, it was the perfect feel-good “just married” tune! :)

Check back tomorrow as their wedding continues with some “snow rain!”

First Look on the 1st : Megan + Kevin

March 1, 2012 by Jensey 1 Comment

Thank you, Megan, for sharing your story with us! Much love to you, Kevin, and baby Eli on the way! :)

Upon first meeting the Roots, Kevin and I fell in love with the idea of doing a first look session with them. However, while we loved it our family was hesitant saying that it was bad luck to see each other before I walked down the aisle. But they were overruled, we both wanted a special moment, just us, to kiss each other and talk before the craziness of the day really started.

I remember riding in the limo with Nate and Jensey to the beach where I was meeting Kevin. I think I was so nervously excited that I did not say two words. Walking down the boardwalk I saw him leaning on the railing with his back to me, in that moment I was so giddy, emotional, and in love with this man that I wanted to scream! I think I said “Pssst, turn around babe,” and as soon as our eyes met it was like meeting him again for the first time. We kissed and held each other close, and in those moments I felt like we were the only two people in the world.

We had so much fun running barefoot on the sand together, dancing by the water and goofing off before the ceremony. It made us both feel so relaxed and at ease before the big event took place. And best of all, we didn’t have to wait until we were pronounced man and wife to kiss each other!

To sum it up, our first look was sweet, intimate, unforgettable and amazing. We would not have changed a thing. It was definitely one of the most memorable moments of our big day! Thanks Nate and Jensey!

Abaco : Travel

February 28, 2012 by Jensey 1 Comment

I just thought I’d share some photos during our fun time on Green Turtle Cay! I learned a lot while I was there. For instance… Did you know there are wild Bahamian pigs? I didn’t, either! Oh, and they’re adorable. :)

We were there a few weeks before Christmas, and the town was all decked out. :)

More friends we met along our journey…

Did I mention they live in a junkyard? Adorable.

The “fire station.” The entire island communicates via radio, so you hear a lot of the calls that go on during the day. Nate and I were having lunch one day when we hear someone radioing in a panic that there was a fire. Someone answered back, “John the fire chief is at work today!” Ummmm… Luckily, they got the fire under control. :)

It’s so rare that Nate and I get photos of both of us on our travels. :)

Why I love my Lisa. <3

Love Adventure Nate! Enjoying the boat ride back to the main island. :)

Just a dog. Trotting down the runway. No big deal. :)

Love, love, love this photo of Lisa and her Jeffrey being reunited at the airport. :)
