Genny + Matt : Washington Memorial Chapel Wedding in Valley Forge, PA and Normandy Farm Reception
Over two years ago, we photographed Gwen and Todd’s wedding at Walt Disney World. Gwen contacted us before the Christmas of 2012, and told us she wanted to give us as a Christmas / wedding gift for her newly engaged sister, Genny! We’d been counting the days to Genny’s wedding ever since, which took place in Valley Forge on the Fourth of July. :)
I think all wedding days should begin watching the Nathan’s hot dog eating contest. It’s the sort of thing that makes you feel simultaneously ashamed and queasy, but let’s admit it- Also a little bit proud to be an American.

Genny and Matt had a slideshow going on the dance floor showing photos tagged with their wedding Instagram hashtag! It was so fun to see everyone’s photos from that day, and especially exciting when our photos popped up. :)

Mysti + John : Church Street Station Wedding in Orlando
Mysti and John’s wedding was a true “small world moment” for us. Nate and John were friends at UCF, and John ended up proposing to the sister of a past Root bride! You may remember their Winter Park engagement session, which featured their ever-adorable fur child. The single best start to the day was being greeted by this familiar face upon arrival to the Dr. Phillips House! :)

Then it was off to the Ballroom at Church Street for our first-ever wedding ceremony there!
