Who are You : Follow Up

You. Guys.

So, when I posted the Who are you post in early September, I was expecting maybe 20 comments from family, but I’m so blown away! I literally had no idea 90% of you read this thing! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for taking a second to let me know you’re there. :)

I have to admit, I have serious low blog self-esteem. I’m always hesitant to post personal things (other than Huck)- I feel like I’m not eloquent enough, interesting enough, or funny enough, and I’m constantly fighting the woe-is-me-no-one-reads-this-thing blues. But now I’m feeling excited and rejuvenated and ready to shake things up a bit!

So, now I want to know- Even though I blog every wedding and session we do, what else would you like to see on here? I have a long list of wedding day, engagement session, and general photography tips I want to start sharing weekly, but what am I missing? Want vendor interviews? More inspiration boards? More posts about our daily life? It’s my blog resolution to get a bit more personal on here with the good, the bad, and the not-so-pretty.

So I know it’s vague, but I really want to know- What would you like to see on here?

Casey + Cory : Engagement

Casey and Cory are getting married next month, so I think it’s about time to share their engagement photos!

Cory worked for 3 days setting up for his marriage proposal- He handmade candelabras and hung them from the trees in a trail where they walk their dogs. It doesn’t get much more romantic than that, folks! :) When we started talking about engagement session locations, it only made sense to do it there, and I’m so glad we did… Thank you Lakeland, Tennessee, for being the perfect backdrop!

You know it’s a Tennessee engagement session when there are sundresses with cowboy boots. <3

Kelley + Tom : Engagement

Our trip to Philadelphia for Larisa and Eric’s sessions marked our first of five(!!!!!!!!!!!!!) trips to Pennsylvania in the next year. I don’t know why the increase in couples up there, but I’m totally fine with it! I learned on this trip that from now on when we travel to a new place, I need to look at a darn map- I had no idea how many big cities are clustered together there! I posted a photo on Instagram (my username is jenseylove!) that we were about to start a session in downtown Philly when a dear friend of mine emailed me, totally hurt I didn’t tell her I was in town. “But, Stef, you’re in New Jersey!” Yeah- She was a 15 minute drive away!

Kelley and Tom are getting married at the Biltmore next March (eeeeeee!) and lucky for us, we were able to fit an engagement session with them while we were in their hometown for Larisa and Eric’s anniversary session. So many of our couples live outside of Florida, where most of our weddings take place, and I love being able to photograph them in their hometown! We had fun exploring with these two, whose session was full of getting to know you time and me learning a ton about hairless cats. Yes- hairless cats. They have one and Tom’s mom shows them. This is why I love our couples! :)
