Emily + Adriel : Disney Port Orleans Riverside Engagement Session

Emily and Adriel met in nursing school and we’re so looking forward to their wedding in less than a month! (How did that happen so fast?!) Emily always dreamed of a Disney wedding, Adriel wants to make Emily’s dreams come true, and I’d say that’s a pretty good start for a marriage. :)

We met them at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside for their engagement session on a ridiculously chilly morning. Emily was such a trooper in her cute dress- My teeth were chattering and I was wearing a big jacket!

DISNEY ROOTS AHHHHH!

*Ahem.* Now that we have that out of the way… :)

Ever since I started blogging for Root Photography, I’ve been pushing Nate to build me a Disney blog. So many Disney friends would request we share more park love here, but I felt bad flooding a blog that’s supposed to be wedding and portrait based with photos from a recent jaunt to Disneyland!

This has been five years in coming so forgive me but today feels like Christmas and I just hope y’all love the new venture as much as I do!

What’s gonna change here? Pretty much nothing. Of course I’ll still share Disney weddings and portrait sessions here because that’s what this blog is for, but I’m also looking forward to featuring different photos on Disney Roots. They’ll definitely be some “cross promotion” for a while. Forgive me while I try to make sure, at least in the first couple months, that everyone knows about the new site- I know everyone isn’t on Facebook or ~~Google Reader~~ Feedly every day, so it may take a while for friends to get the memo.

Disney Roots will probably mainly be photo of the week style, and not much talking in wedding posts at all; I already put so much work into wedding posts here, the thought of having to do that twice, well…

Katie + Dustin : Walt Disney World Engagement Session at the Boardwalk Inn Resort

It took flying overseas for an internship and a lucky turn of events ending with these two sharing an apartment for Katie and Dustin to end up together. Dustin proposed to Katie on Christmas, and Katie contacted us soon after to schedule engagement photos. Lucky for us, our January trips lined up and we were able to make something happen! :)

It’s a rare sight to see the gorgeous entrance to the Boardwalk Inn sans buses or taxis!
