The ceremonial “Disney point.”
Krystal + Ben : Disney Cruise Line Wedding on Castaway Cay Part II
Continued from Krystal and Ben’s Disney Cruise Line Castaway Cay Wedding Part I. :)
I just realized that just like our last cruise bride, Kimberly, Krystal is also a fellow wedding photographer. I love that almost every wedding vendor we’ve photographed has either eloped or had a destination wedding like this! :)
Captain Jack seemed a bit concerned when he saw we were shooting with Cannons. :)
After a little bit of bride and groom portrait time on Castaway Cay, it was off to their private reception for cake, toasts, and dances!
I love so much that Ben asked his little sister to be his “Best Woman,” and her speech had everyone (including us) wiping tears.
We were originally going to spend an hour or so after their reception for photos around the boat, but no words could describe how incredibly hot it was! Krystal and Ben made the smart decision to postpone photos until after dinner so they could enjoy the island a bit.
Krystal and Ben, we can’t thank y’all enough for bringing us along on your wedding adventure!!

Krystal + Ben : Disney Cruise Line Wedding on Castaway Cay Part I
So now that Nate and I have now photographed a couple Disneyland weddings, just a few Walt Disney World weddings, and one very special vow renewal at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii, it only seemed fitting that we shoot our first wedding on the Disney Cruise Line! Krystal and Ben’s wedding trip took place on the Dream, one of the newest in Disney’s impressive fleet. I loved this boat so hard and I’m already begging Nate for a repeat voyage- 3 days just wasn’t enough! :)
There was no shortage of photo opportunities, that’s for sure. I don’t think we’ve ever spent so long photographing a wedding dress! :)
This chair and Cinderella mosaic was one of the first things I saw when we boarded the Dream, and I immediately knew I wanted this shot! :)
I still don’t know how we managed to fit Krystal, her parents, four bridesmaids, and two photographers in this stateroom!
A wedding day first for us: Characters on golf carts! So fun. :)
Another wedding day first for us: Scuba divers behind the wedding ceremony! :)
I love when a friend or family member of the bride and groom officiates the wedding ceremony. Krystal’s sweet step dad did a wonderful job.
Krystal, you’re gorgeous. :)
Check back tomorrow for part two, which kicks off with a special guest who may or may not be Captain Jack Sparrow. :)
