The days leading up to a wedding, Nate and I are watching our weather apps like hawks. There are months in Florida during hurricane season that you really never know until hours before whether or not rain will hit, but we’re willing it off with all our might! The hourly forecast for Kathy and Jeff’s ceremony time was all over the board, but we crossed our fingers, hoped for the best, and took as many pre-ceremony photos we could juuuuuuust in case… I’ve never been more thankful for a first look couple!
Kathy wanted their parents and bridal party to quietly watch their first look from the groomsmen balcony- So sweet. <3
Soooooo much love for this silly flower girl!!
The before…
… And the after! In nearly 10 years of weddings, this was our first ceremony in the pouring rain. I’m a strong believer in rain bringing luck to couples on their wedding day, so I think these two are set for life! :)
“Chicks and ducks and geese better scurry, when I take you out in my surrey, when I take you out in my surrey with the fringe on top!” <3
Kathy and Jeff, thank you for smiling through the storm! It couldn’t have happened to a better, more easy going couple! We love y’all and can’t wait to share more soon. :)

Love all the colors – I really do have to think about ours now! And with so much joy in these faces the rain has to be good luck!
