You may remember Nikki and Matt from their Disney Bounding engagement session I posted earlier this year! I’m excited to finally share Tink and Jiminy Cricket’s wedding day. <3
Matt and Nikki’s dessert party took place on their wedding day eve, and Matt booked us to photograph it without telling Nikki! She was totally surprised to see us and was thankfully ok with us crashing their party and stuffing our pockets with Mickey rice crispy treats on our way out. Nikki and Matt’s Illuminations dessert party was our first time photographing in Epcot since the outside photography ban lifted! It felt so, so good to be back. :)
We said our goodbyes to our lovely couple and unbenonst to Nikki, headed to the front of the park for one final surprise. See, when Matt and Nikki had just started dating, they “accidentally” bumped into each other in Epcot while on separate Disney vacations. They recreated an iconic photo of their youth, the one and only Cory Matthews kissing Topanga in front of Spaceship Earth. Matt and Nikki were going to recreate this photo with Nikki’s brother taking the picture, but surprise! Nate was there to take it instead. I hope we did it justice! :)
The next morning we were up bright and early for their big day! I brag about our couples all the time to our wedding vendor friends because clearly Root couples are best, but this is photo proof. Nikki and Matt remembered our website bios and had these surprises for us in their hotel mini fridge upon arrival. Swooooooon! <3
Nikki and Matt also are blog readers and took note on the post I did about the awesomeness of getting ready in connecting rooms (read it here!) Nate and I loved being able to just pop in to one room when the other had a down moment, and visa-versa.
Nate is my favorite photographer.
Wedding Pavilion prettiness.
Then it was off to party at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Atlantic Dance Hall!
One of my favorite photos of 2013! A true moment with the mice. :)
Matt and Nikki, is it too soon for a vow renewal? :(
Hope at Disneyland says
YES! I remember you posted some teasers weeks ago and it’s s cool to see more. I loved their Disneybounding session and think you definitely did the Boy Meets World pic justice.
