Samantha and Jake are two of the funnest, sweetest people you’ll ever meet and Jake is a HUGE music fanatic. He doesn’t just GO to Bonnaroo, he brings his mom. He and Sam felt like the Orlando Hard Rock Cafe at Universal’s City Walk was the perfect place to hold their wedding and after shooting there, I have to admit- Even though I sort of felt like I was cheating on Disney shooting this one, this venue is awesome.
I love that Nate grabbed this photo of Jake playing on the Hard Rock stage before the ceremony. :)
This place puts the marquee at Disney’s Atlantic Dance Hall to shame!
Favorite. :)
Did I mention that UCF’s Knightro was the ring bearer??
Second favorite!
Pretty sure I was getting yelled at by their DJ for taking this. Even though so many of our couples learn of the private last dance from our blog, DJs don’t seem to know that we like to stick around for the first half of the song to shoot it! Should probably blog about that soon. :)
Sam and Jake, we love y’all! Now move your cute butts to Nashville!
More Universal Studios love on the blog :
Hope says
You’re right – this venus looks awesome. That shot of their ceremony with the angels on the ceiling: WOW! Score one for Universal.;)
I think a “private last dance” is so sweet. I had read about something similar from another Disney Bride and wanted to do that with my hubby but since we brought in a lot of our decor and knew we’d have to immediately start cleaning up after the reception, it didn’t work out. We did sneak a ‘private first dance” during our “reception room first look” though! :)
I love the “private first dance” idea!!! Gonna have to start suggesting that one. :)
You should! It was magical and gave us a chance to really be “in the moment” and not have it feel like a “performance” for all of our guests. Though our photographers and videographer were in the room too taking detail shots, it still felt like it was just us. (The private first dance made it on to the wedding video’s final edit and surprisingly it looked better than the public one we did for our guests minutes later. Go figure! ;) )
That venue is awesome! I am currently brainstorming which friend/ family member I should talk into getting married there.
The cake picture is definitely my favorite in the bunch.
It’s such a fun venue!! :)
I’m not sure if it’s because it’s a venue other than Disney or all the personal touches from the couple (or both), but this is my favorite wedding I’ve seen this year! Well done!!
I love that this is the first blog you’ve left a comment on in ages, because this is the wedding that played “Farmhouse” and our favorite “Gin and Juice” and had me missing you like crazy!
