As I mentioned in my post last week regarding the new Disney World photography rules, Nate and I have loved working with the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings team for the past five years. We travel all over the country for this job so it’s rare that we get a chance to work at the same venues, let alone the same team of people, on any given wedding day.
There’s something incredibly comforting about walking into Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and seeing Bill playing the organ and greeting us with a smile. Or knowing when we see Bob or Andrew show up at a reception, there’s a good chance Mickey and Minnie are right around the corner! There was that one time I shot a wedding feeling like death and our Disney planner that day, Maxine, greeted me at the reception with a cup of hot tea with honey. Moments like that are absolutely priceless, and I’m so grateful our couples have given us the chance to photograph so many weddings at “home.”
Nate and I were finally able to sweet talk Maxine into having dinner with us during a two week Orlando trip. After dinner, she mentioned that if we weren’t doing anything the next day, we should bring Huck and meet up with the DFTW team at Celebration’s Posh Pooch Festival. I was hesitant at first thinking we’d be crashing the party, but when Saturday came and we found ourselves in Celebration with nothing to do and a newly groomed Huck, well… It was time for an adventure! :)
Pst- Have you “liked” Huckleberry Finn on Facebook yet?!
The whole gang! :)
I’ve been wanting to meet Miss Macy for years, ever since her momma Carol and I bonded over our love of itty bittys!
The one dog Huck was smitten with was Tulla Belle (can you blame him?!)…
… Sadly, she couldn’t care less. No Posh Pooch wedding ceremony for these two!
We got more people asking us if Huck was Boo than anything else. Next year, I’m just saying yes. And then charging $5 for photos with him. ;)
I don’t know how you can’t be a “dog person” when you look at a face like this!
Lastly, some favorites from our impromptu photo booth!
Nate’s favorite!
One more of Tulla. :) Thank y’all for letting us be a part of the day!!! Huck had a blast! :)

How adorable!!!!! This is such a cute idea too.
What you said about the DFTW in FL, is how I feel about the DFTW in CA. I love seeing familiar faces at my friends’ weddings and catching up with them and seeing them put every bit of pixie dust in their arsenal into everything that they do.
I think you should charge for pics of Faux Boo (Foo?). Sort of like the people do on Hollywood Blvd. lol
Btw, I saw an entire line of jewelry with Boo’s pics on them (charm bracelets, necklaces, keychains, earrings, etc.) at Claire’s and they reminded me of Huck. :)

awe awe awess! I wish Riley would behave around other pups so we could bring him to poochie like festivals! For now I will live vicariously through you. Not for nothin though, I’ve seen Boo and think Huck is way cuter. I may be biased.
