My love of Sarah Pinto planners sprouted from a desperate search for a planner on Amazon. After clicking through what felt like thousands of pages of not-what-I-needed, I spotted a simple green spiral planner with a white elephant on front, and I was in love.
I’ve since been a loyal Sarah Pinto girl and look forward to her release of next year’s designs like a preteen anticipating her first Justin Bieber concert! This year Sarah Pinto didn’t disappoint, and after days of agonizing over which cover I wanted to stare at for the next 365 days, the winner was the 2013 Horseshoe Weekly Planner :
I know a lot of bloggers do this sort of thing with an online calendar, but I’m the same tactile, school-supply loving girl I was when I was 16. I plan out my Monday-Friday blog posts months in advance and highlight the date once my post is scheduled. Of course, there’s tons of erasing and re-writing when I get busy and skip some days, but that’s half the fun.
My favorite thing about Sarah Pinto Weekly Planners is that they’re a blank slate- I love filling up the pages with color using Japanese washi tape I get off Etsy.
While I keep the monthly pages in tact, I cover the weekly pages with paper and washi tape to use throughout the year- Queues for album designs, editing, blogging, and submissions. Just wanted to share how I keep my crazy in order! I’d love to hear what any other bloggers out there find useful. :)

I have been searching for a new planner – I’m definitely going to order this one! And seeing our names on your January page made us super excited for the 22nd!

It’s so cute, Dani- You won’t regret it! And yes, y’all make your appearance soon! :)
Covering the weekly stuff (that I’ve never used) and turning it into a notebook? Just when I didn’t think I could love you more. You GENIUS!
I know, right?! I had the epiphany one day when I was switching between 3 different notebooks- Ridiculous! I love my system, but I take it with me so many places I’m paranoid of leaving it somewhere- I’d be so lost!
That’s very ‘New York Minute’ of you Jensey ;)
Jensey, I put my full name, email address, mailing address, and phone number on the inside front cover of my planner. I actually left my planner at the bank one time, and they called me to let me know that they had it behind the counter. It’s nerve-wracking depending on the goodness of the public, but I think a lot of times, people do actually want to help you not lose what looks like a very important book. So the contact info always helps. :)
P.S. I love the washi tape. Such a cute idea. :)
I’m a tactile planning book type of gal too. I took a peek at your calendar and am VERY excited to see next Monday and Tuesday’s post! :)
Yep, Mindy and Tim get a whole week on the blog beginning the 14th- Took me long enough! ;)
YAY! Well, at least you’re blogging them before their 1st anniversary. ;) Can’t wait to see their wedding through your lenses. :D
I love how uniform and clean your handwriting is. Mine is all messy and slanted. I used to use different colored pens for different types of entires when I was in college. Elextronic calendars are just not the same. I wish I had a reason to have a planner!
That’s so sweet, Alice, thank you! I’m with you on electronic calendars- There’s just something freeing about physically crossing something off a list!
I saw usssssss! OMG I’m getting married! I’m with you though, I’m a total planner girl. I have tons of technology, but LOVE writing stuff in.. it’s like a work diary!
